We contacted Amica and several other vendors to provide us with a quote to replace our back door. Michael contacted us from Amica and scheduled an appointment with us for an onsite evaluation of the door. He was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. He was always prompt in responding to us when we had questions. Out of all the vendors who came out Michael was the only person who took his time to offer suggestions and completely explain the installation process. He brought in several samples and photos to help us understand what were purchasing and help us make an educated decision. There was never any pressure to purchase on the spot as well as many of the vendors pressured us to purchase right away or they wouldn't guarantee their pricing. From the time of purchase Michael was always informative and provided us with updates as to when the door would be installed. Within 2 weeks he had the door ready and our installation scheduled which were extremely happy with. The installation went smoothly and the installers George and Ryan were very careful and protected the area they worked in. There was a minor issue with the sweep seal on the bottom of the door and Michael assured us not to worry and that he would look after it. He had the manufactured technician come out the next day to fix the issue and the door is perfect now. I would highly recommend Amica windows and doors and definitely Michael and George.

I’m very pleased with our new basement entry door from Amica Windows & Doors. Michael, the proprietor, came to the house and described a variety of options from his company for the location, taking into account need (security and insulation) and aesthetics. His thorough information made the choice an easy one. The door’s installation, a complicated process because of the unorthodox construction of the entryway, was expertly finessed by Amica’s experienced installer George. I'd certainly recommend Amica for both their good, attractive product and their friendly and very conscientious personnel.

From the first time we met Mike during his initial quote/consultation, he struck us as extremely professional and knowledgeable. He brought a sample window with him to his initial visit, which allowed us to play with the hardware so we'd understand how the windows operate and what they'd look like from both the interior and exterior once installed (of the four companies we received quotes from, Amica Windows was the only one to bring actual sample windows instead of just pictures.)

After weighing the pros and cons of the four different companies we had received quotes from, we selected Amica Windows for our project for a few reasons: Amica's prices were fair (right down the middle of all quotes we had received), the warranty was superior to what other companies offered, and Mike was very responsive to our needs vs. the competitors.

Our window install project was particularly complex because our home is located in a Heritage Conservation District. As a result, we needed permission from the City of Toronto to go ahead with the install. As part of the approval process, the City requested a great deal of information, including specifications and drawings that specified the exact dimensions of existing and new sash profiles to ensure the new windows would be in compliance with the Heritage guidelines. In total, the City's approval process lasted three months, during which period we had a number of back and forth phone calls and emails with Mike requesting more information and clarification, as directed by the City. Mike was incredibly patient in providing us the information we needed in a timely fashion throughout this process.

Because of the delay caused by the City's approval process, the window install was pushed back several months, which posed a potential challenge as we needed to have the windows installed before January 2019. Mike explained our situation to the his manufacturer to see if they could expedite the process for us, which they were able to do! Because of Mike's understanding and willingness to help, the window installation was completed on time.

Now that the windows are in, we are pleased with the end result as well as our decision to choose Amica, and wouldn't hesitate recommending them to other homeowners.

Michael at Amica Windows and Doors was great to work with from start to finish. Replacing all windows plus 4 doors was a large job managed well. He was always professional and reliable. He is very knowledgeable about his product lines and was able to offer many good suggestions. His installers did a fantastic job with no issues or surprises. I would very much recommend Amica.

AMICA did a great job replacing my front. They were very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing the right type of door. And the installers were very careful removing the molding and old door....as our house is very old with original molding.

They did an amazing job with our windows and doors. There was great communication throughout the entire process. We can definitely feel a difference in our home after the new windows and doors were installed. I highly recommend Amica!
