Belfor was contracted by my insurance company to do emergency response to a flood from my dishwasher. Belfor was pretty timely to come out and got a remediation crew out later that evening. They failed to tell me what they wanted me to do (eg get a plumber out to remove the dishwasher). Despite that, they put dehumidifiers in the house (which are very loud if you have not experienced it). They didn't tell me how long they needed to be turned on, and it took me calling them 4 days later to get them out.
What really annoyed me about belfor was their lack of planning. They would call me up a day before they needed to send a crew in to remove some hardwood, and would come in for 15 minutes (forcing me to stay home from work and wait for them). Then would need to come back a couple of days later.
They were in my house numerous times, and the dehumidifiers kept getting turned on as they were trying to save the hardwood (which was a write off according to a couple of contractors that I had come in to look at for second opinions).
When I was trying to get them to get my insurance company a quote to do the rebuild it took 6 weeks, and they got the scope wrong!
