One morning recently, I came downstairs and noticed a significant amount of water pooling in front of my dishwasher and pushing out onto the rest of my main floor (hardwood and tile). Without hesitating (after turning off the water of course), I called Steve at Shield Restoration to assess the damage and to get started on the emergency flood work.
It didn’t take long for Steve to determine what was required and almost immediately large fans, dehumidifiers, and other equipment were placed strategically in my kitchen, family room, and basement to minimize and mitigate the damage.
Once Steve was satisfied that the moisture in the floor was eliminated, the equipment was removed and he arranged for his handyman to arrive on site and re-install the baseboards that had been removed during his initial assessment.
Without Steve and his fast action, this flood would have almost certainly resulted in a sizeable insurance claim and a significant headache to live through the repair work. He and his team were responsive, knowledgeable, and considerate throughout the process. They also followed all necessary COVID-19 safety protocols.
