We discovered a leaking pipe only because the carpet beside our gas fireplace was damp in an inconspicuous spot. After hiring a plumber, he determined the only way to access the pipe near the foundation wall was to cut the drywall, and remove the fireplace (along with the stone facade) to do the repair work. I initially contacted several restoration companies, including Restoration 1. They were quickest to respond and have a team assess the situation. As stressful as the project was, they put me at ease during the entire process. There were so many trades involved, and the project manager handled everything so well, including the navigation and communication with our insurance company.
Overall I would recommend Restoration 1 to anybody who requires emergency work or any other project.

Spring 2019 I had my outdoor faucet burst and leak water into my basement bedroom. Water had gone done the vapor barrier into the walls and into the carpet. Found water in the ceiling as well. Called plumber company first to come take look and he found the burst faucet and repaired it. The plumber company recommended Restoration 1 and had them contact me right. David and his team called me immediately and got a team out to begin addressing the damage. David's team was quick and worked professionally on getting dry wall cut out fans in for drying. I was very impressed with the work completed. Restoration 1 was very easy to deal and worked with my insurance company as well. Would also like to add the repair work was amazing. I am so happy with the end project. I would recommend Restoration 1 for there fast professional work and there top notch communication making sure my needs were met. They really do look out for the best interest of the customer.

Got hit with flooding in my basement, and as Murphy's law would have it, right at the start of the Canada Day long weekend. Spent hours between Google and the phone, trying to find a contractor to come by.

Restoration 1 were quick to respond, and Andre was on site within hours. He was extremely helpful, not only with taking quick action to mitigate the damage and prepare for restoration, but also with advice and insight from his experience on what to expect from the process.

Called them due to water leak from crapped out garburator which went into the basement. We cleaned up the water as much as possible but called them as I was concerned about damage to hardwood floor, cabinet, and drywall ceiling and wall below. They brought out dehumidifiers the next day as we agreed and tested basement ceiling and drywall. They found moisture there and brought out additional equipment to dry it out. It all worked well. The hardwood has cupped a bit and I will likely get that repaired after I give it a couple of months to dry some more. They said they have a relationship with some good floor restorers. I will definitely followup with them and would recommend them. They were easy to get a hold of, met their schedules, and were very pleasant to deal with.

We had a small sewer back-up in our laundry room a few days ago. I called around to another restoration company who quoted a fee of $1000-1200. Then I called Restoration 1 who told me their minimum charge was $500. That made me feel much better. They came over the next day after the line was snaked by another company. They moved the washer and dryer and assessed the situation. Luckily, it hadn’t affected the dry wall and they were able to complete the job in under an hour and within the $500.00 minimum.
The guys were really nice, and it was such a relief to get the job done ASAP.

Flooding from the upstairs bathroom seeped into the walls and ceilings below. Restoration 1 came within 2 hours of our phone call, assessed damages on 3 floors and provided the work plan to our Insurance.
Restoration 1 in not one of our Insurance's "preferred" contractors but we went ahead with the work anyway and were totally pleased!
They got the work done quickly, with little mess and had everything back to normal within 4 days.

Very professional and thorough with their assessment and remediation work, took great care to minimize the disruption and inconvenience of a very unpleasant event in our home. Was very impress at their effort in ensuring we understood the process and always kept us informed of the progress of their work.

Laundry room sink overflowed, flooding all 3 floors of our house. The crew (Andre and Cam) showed up very promptly and were exceptional pleasant. They were extremely professional and thorough. Worked diligently on drying our home in extreme temperate conditions and remain pleasant and happy. They did not hesitate to address any of our concerns and even showed us first hand the answers we were looking for.

Manager (Dave) visited our property twice and took the time to explain all details of what was happening and answer any and all questions that we had without ever seeming rushed. The crew also operated in this fashion.....taking the time and care to discuss anything that we brought forth.
