Donavon and his team are very professional. Initially they came to inspect a groute mold on a bathtub but upon inspection it was diagnosed to be a faulty tub. His team did not stop at just replacing the groute but also went above and beyond to redo the entire bathtub + the tiles around it. They also helped to tow the bathtub to the shop for warranty. Highly recommended !!

We needed to have multiple load bearing walls opened, and inspected. Donavon and his team went above and beyond completing the job and assisting my other contractor. The job was done quickly and within my budget.

Donavon and his team went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we wanted for our backyard remodel. He gave us valuable advice when we weren't sure on certain decisions and built our deck, cabana, built in bbq and gazebo strong enough to outlast our house. All while being budget conscious and saving us money where we could.

I'm bringing him and is amazing team back this summer for some addons we want.

OMG !! – we just had our 2nd phase completed where the amazing DWC crew completed our living area with an exquisite and custom made fire place, topped with stylish contemporary designs. For the last few months we have been contemplating on remodeling our main floor which included removing walls, adding loadbearing beams, new flooring and relocating the HVAC, plumbing and electrical services so that we could make the main area completely open concept.

We selected DWC based on their understanding of our ideas. Throughout our initial consultation, not only did they listen to what we wanted, but DWC made valuable and creative suggestions including dividing the project into 2 phases which would allow us to get the best value and wow factor for our money. This secured our confidence that they fully understood our ideas and concerns.

This was a large project and from the start, they arranged all the architectural drawings, work permits and subcontractors for all the services. As the project progressed, Donovan made us feel at ease and communicated to us every day on what work was involved - The crew were courteous and respectful of our family and at the end of each day, they would carry out a detailed builders clean up - both on the interior and exterior.

During the project, the team came across a number of unexpected surprises which they repaired without delaying the project.

There is a 2nd phase to this large project, so suffice it to say, we will be using Donovan and his team again to complete some of the cosmetics in the main area and update the kitchen.

The first phase of the project finished on time, within budget and today, we now have a modernized open concept, fully functional main area, which by the way looks exquisite. “Oh, we were so right to select DWC” !!

We hired DWC to renovate our basement apartment. When Donavon came in to provide the quote he suggested to fully gut the basement and rebuild it as the layout was strange and there was so much unused/wasted space.

We are so glad that we decided to go that route because what was beneath was a complete mess. There was a major crack in the foundation that needed immediate attention and the basement was not structurally sound due to poor workmanship of past contractors.

Donavon and his team repaired all of the damage and were able to utilize every inch of space to give us more living space then we had before.
Every suggestion Donavon made panned out. We now have a modern basement apartment that looks great and doesn’t feel like a dungeon.

Donavon and the team are skilled and knowledgeable professionals. They are all friendly and respectful. They did an exceptional job of answering all of our questions (and there were a lot) and providing explanations when asked.
They also kept the construction site clean as they worked which was an added bonus.

We also had DWC build a retaining wall, stairs and put weeping tiles in the backyard. DWC does it all!!

We knew the removal of a major load-bearing wall in our 100-year old Toronto house would be a complicated task because of permits, HVAC and electrical issues, but would require careful attention to finishing as well since we wanted to keep some of the original features of the house intact. The original hardwood would need to be matched where the wall had come out, and we wanted to retain the original curve where the lathe-and-plaster walls met the ceiling. Once the drawings were complete we sought several quotes; DWC was on the high-to-middle end but we don’t regret a penny. From the start, communication and expectations were clear and work was carried out efficiently. We didn’t vacate the premises during this time and the team did everything they could to minimize the impact, even though I’m sure it would have been much simpler for them if we (and our big dog) hadn’t been there. Donavan dealt with inspections, an unhelpful structural engineer, and a significant and unexpected last-minute change on our part with a consistently open and pleasant demeanour. All his employees and sub trades were extremely pleasant and polite to me and my family. When I had to leave town he continued to check in daily to keep me informed. When our original plan was expanded he made what we felt was a reasonable adjustment to the original pricing. The work was completed on time and on budget, and exceeded expectations in terms of maintaining/matching the original features. This company is the complete opposite of all those nightmare renovation experiences you’ve heard about.

The company we bought our door from hired DWC to install our door. You might think, it's just a door installation, but it's amazing what you might run in to especially a house that has shifted. These guys were one of the most professional I've ever dealt with. They were meticulous and precise. They made sure that door was square even to the point to make sure it did not swing open when left ajar. Even though they had a second job waiting, they did not rush to finish. They made sure the job was well done. Quality over quantity. I would most definitely contact them if we ever have a project to do.
