I closed the garage door one morning and discovered that it was slanted. It was on the ground on one side and about two inches off the ground on the other. It was impossible to open or close using the motor and the car was stuck inside. I assumed that the cables needed adjusting and called Fix It Right because I didn't want to mess with the spring.

I was expecting to wait a few days before getting a service person out, but they sent someone within a couple of hours. They diagnosed a broken cable and pointed out that all of the door hardware was rusted out and likely to fail. They gave us three options: Replace the cable ($350), replace all the hardware ($850), or replace the entire door ($2600). We went with the middle option since the other components would have failed fairly soon anyway. They switched everything out in about 90 minutes and the door is now working perfectly. It's a lot quieter than it was before; I didn't know that doors are not supposed to sound like small aircraft but presumably that was our crummy hardware.

The steel cables on our 30 yr. old heavy wooden automatic garage door broke on a weekend and I had to make a decision about who to call from all the listings on the internet. Scrolled through lots and after perusing many websites decided to call Fix it Right. Got through immediately and an appointment was scheduled for the next day. Jacob came over to assess and we agreed that replacing instead of fixing the door made the most sense. Lots of choice and options for the door and we felt the price to remove, dispose, and install was very reasonable. The job ended up being much more complex than anticipated as the new door was a bit thicker than our old one and they had to make quite a few adjustments in order for it to open and close without jamming on the ceiling.
The crew ended working for 5 hours in terrible weather in the dark. When we discovered that our keypad entry had been removed in order to install the protective frame and do caulking, Jacob came back the next day and reassured us that it wasn't a big deal, no rewiring necessary as the unit was actually wifi, which after 30 yrs. we had totally forgotten. It just had to be screwed back in, which he did. Under the circumstances, not surprising that one small item got missed in the dark, snowy night. Super impressed with the phone support and prompt service. Whenever we phoned, if we got an answering service, our call was returned almost immediately. Highly recommend this company.

Very professional and timely work there was an issue with one of the garage door panels, they came and replaced the panel, no questions asked, appreciate their work totally, the doors are looking beautiful.

I was in need as my car was locked in the garage because of a broken spring and I had to go to work. I found my way to work and booked them for later in the day. Their technician showed up an hour earlier and spoke with my son. The technicians attitude was hurry up, take it or leave it $575+tax for a broken spring and two cables (that didnt seem to be damaged anyway). He also replaced a missing roller. An hour and a half later he had upsold me to also replace the rest of the 12 rollers for the bargain price of $125+tax (down from the supposedly regular price of $200+tax). Total repair time of an hour and a half for a broken spring, two good cables, 11 good rollers plus a missing one, and total cost of $791 incl. tax.
Make sure you get other quotes too and dont get gouged. I didnt have time and only found afterwards that I paid at least twice as much as what mightve been a fair price.
