Blue Sky Shade & Screen Solutions

Back in April we gave Scott a $4500.00 deposit for shades. He then came up with a bunch of excuses why he couldn't instal them then just stopped returning our calls so he has our deposit and we have nothing! Beware!

We needed to replace 2 old retractable screen doors leading to our condo apartment balcony. We hired Scott Mitchell from Blue Sky for the job. Scott was very helpful to us in choosing the type of door and the colour (it was important to us that the door be invisible from the street). He was flexible on the install date and the doors arrived when he said they would.

However, we ran into a problem when he came to install. After he removed the old screen doors, he could see that the wooden door frames had rotted in places. I am sure that it would have been easy for Scott to just install the new screen doors anyhow, given his busy schedule but Scott is a professional and wanted the job done right so he advised us on what repairs needed to be done to the frames and said he would come back when we were ready.

We had the repairs done and Scott came back with the screens. The installation went smoothly and we are very happy with our new doors. So much nicer looking than the old ones and the magnetic latches are way more practical than the finicky latches we had on the previous doors.

Scott did not charge us any extra for his trouble in having to come twice.

We would not hesitate to recommend Scott Mitchell and Blue Sky.

If you are looking to have retractable screen doors installed I would look no further. We honestly could not have had a better experience. Scott is professional, prompt, and very efficient. He knows his business and made us, the customers, feel comfortable and worry free. We just knew we were going to get a quality product with quality and timely installation and Scott did not disappoint.

We have one of those 12 year old suburban homes with a garage taking up most of the front of the house. The side effect is that in the summer months there's just no way to generate any sort of cross ventilation. I'm frugal and hate to turn on the air conditioning if I can avoid it.

We hired Blue Sky after a friend referred them to us. He showed up on time, was knowledgeable and courteous. The door cost exactly what he said it would when he'd quoted the price. It's been a year since it was installed and it has held up beautifully.
My only regret is that we waited 11 years before having it installed.

He was also quick to respond to our call for service this spring and got our screen door operating properly again, at no charge. (Lesson learned: Clean the tracks 3 or 4 times a year, especially before the first use in the spring, and spray them with silicone spray.) We strongly endorse the product and the company.
