I was very impressed with the company’s effort in diagnosing the problem with my somewhat expensive 15 year old GE Profile fridge/freezer. The tech's, were friendly and prompt and although It took some time to finally nail down the problem you never gave up and finally found out the problem and fixed it. Excellent work
Not only to they urgently fixed our fridge…they service was phenomenal, stuff was polite and informative on the phone and great pricing!!! They really go above and beyond!!!

I have used Capital Appliance Repair twice – once for my washing machine and once for my fridge. The technician who came for the washing machine was great and the washer was fixed the same week. I felt confident in trying them again when my fridge broke down. This second experience was a totally different experience. The technician had to come back a second time because the part he replaced the first time did not solve the problem. I have no issue with them having to coming back the second time but rather it was the attitude of the technician and the lack of communication from the company in between the two service visits (over 1.5 months) that made for a horrible experience. And the customer service while I was trying to lodge a complaint with them, before going public with my complaint, was just as frustrating as dealing with the technician. After 2 emails and three phone calls, I got a reply by email, not even a phone call, basically justifying whey the technician had to come back a second time. They totally misunderstood the point of my complaint which centered on the technician’s rude, unfriendly and argumentative attitude and the lack of communication from the company while I was waiting for the second part to come in. I had to call them to get updates on what was happening even though I had asked the technician to please keep me informed of the process. My second complaint is that although they take payments by credit card, they only issue refunds (for parts returned) by cheque which are only cut once a month. If they can take payments by credit card, they should issue refunds same day by credit card. I will not be calling them again and would encourage others to use someone else.
Cooling cycle was making noise in my fridge for several months.
Called in a technician - he took a look, did some cleaning, performed some analytics and determined it was an abundance of ice on the fan.
Being at the mercy of the repairman - who am I to disagree(?) I appreciated not being taken advantage of.
Paid the minimum visitation deposit and he was on his way.
Washer was not draining, technician came and told us the "drain pump not working and should be replaced" (which was pretty obvious), and that they "Can find part online". We paid $80. After that, there has been absolutely zero relevant assistance despite many phone calls & escalations to the manager there.
They say they can't find the part online. I found it (finally), but it is called a retractor, not a 'drain pump'. I have asked them to ask the technician if it is the correct part, and I receive nothing but the run-around constantly. The receptionists don't seem to comprehend anything beyond the most basic English, if there is a complicated issue, they just get confused.
I escalated it to the manager, who after 1 week, has not replied at all.
(the reason I gave 1 star is because they do actually answer the phone)
Second time using this company.This second time involved terrible customer service.The technician was late and never called to verify that he was still coming. He said that the parts were in stock and he would come back the following week.
They do not take Saturday appointments as advertised.
The person who answers the phone yelled at me and said the parts had to be ordered. She never apologized when I said please do not yell at me, your technician said that he had the parts! She never returns calls when she said she would & just like others I had to continually call back.
Both technicians were good but if they really are a “family owned business” they need to hire & train staff who have GOOD customer service!!!TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE,
The Samsung dryer had no heat. I called Captial Appliance Repair and they scheduled a technician the next day. Youri arrived on time, was very courteous, described the potential problems, diagnosed the issue, explained it carefully, and completed the repair. He also explained how to prevent other issues from arising and checked the dryer venting. He was thorough and efficient. A very good job!
Top of the line Bosch dishwasher developed loud grinding sounds and stopped working. Capital Appliance called, arrived next day, provided quote, ordered parts and came back five days later to complete the repair. Excellent service from technician. Highly recommend.
