Overall poor customer service. He refused to put on a mask when one was offered to him, and then started saying how healthy he is and how COVID-19 is a hoax. Deposited explaining that I have two young children at home who are vulnerable to getting sick, he refused to put it on saying that he couldn’t work with a mask on or with shoes off; so he insisted on wearing his shoes on my carpet, leaving a beetle and stains on the carpet for me to clean up. After learning that my washer actually working properly, he said he would charge me $90 for the diagnostic fee, which was fine by me. But when I was prepared to pay, he said that he needed to charge me $10 more for “labour”. I said that wasn’t what he said 10 minutes ago, but he tried to persuade me saying $10 is not a big deal. I think one would understand that it’s not a matter of $10 being a big deal or not, but the fact that he was trying to con his customer! To be fair, I can’t speak to his competency as an appliance repairman because my washer didn’t end up needing his work, but his overall attitude and work ethics are what put him way below the bar when compared with his competitors.
