Our roof was damaged in the wind storm back in May/18. We contacted a few different companies with good reviews on HomeStars to come out and prepare quotes; we ended up chosing Evo. The guy we dealt with (Rio) seemed quite knowledgeable and they gave us a great price (cash). They gave us a date in early Sept. We followed up with them 2 days before they were supposed to show up and were told our job was postponed for 2 weeks because of rain. We followed up again 2 days before our new date, and were assured they would be coming. The morning of, no show. We contacted Rio again who told us they would be coming the following day. When they did finally show up, they did an ok job on the roof but did not have the materials for other repairs that they were supposed to do. The roofers also expected us to hand over our payment (cash) with no way for them to give us a receipt. Again, we contacted Rio and told him we would pay him when the job was complete. A month later, workers show up and completed the repairs when we were not home (we were not made aware they were coming) and a completely different person has contacted us by phone and text 5 times in a 2 hour period, wanting payment. We have tried to contact Rio but his phone is out of service. This company had great reviews back in May/18 but after reading the more recent reviews, they have obviously changed their business practises. Unreliable, uncommunicative and quite shady is how I would describe our experience with them.
