Repair of Bosch miter Saw model 3915

I have a Bosch Miter Saw that has served me well over the years. Unfortunately it stopped working - would not go on when the trigger was pulled. Initially I thought it could be the brushes ... so ordered a set from VTR. Just to make sure I brought the old set with me for a comparison. Robert at the counter immediately compared them and told me he could not sell a new set to me as mine were still good.
He offered to do a complete diagnostic on my saw for $30. This would be deduced from any parts or labour purchased from VTR.
The result was that the trigger was defective and he would order one. Well as too often happens the part was no longer available from the manufacture. So I did a search for a replacement part. It was an aftermarket part and not approved by Bosch ... so I printed the info and showed it to Robert at VTR. I asked him if he thought this trigger switch could work and whether he would install it for me. He agreed if I brought it in he would do this. Well after his efforts he managed to adopt the switch to my Bosch 3915 and it is now working great! All Robert charged me was $35 plus tax less my $30 credit! This compound Miter Saw initially cost me close to $700 at the time .. so I'm very happy to have saved what is still a very good saw.

$40.00
