Tech!Espresso Computer Repair

My sons Alienware R13 computer crashed at 4pm today and he had an online University exam at 8pm. Super stressful! My son is quite computer savvy but none of his trouble shooting worked. I found Techespresso through a Google search and by a stroke of good luck, there was a 6pm appointment open for a home visit. Marwan, the tech, arrived shortly after 6pm (crazy snow traffic today!) and within 45 minutes had my sons computer up and running (apparently an Alienware update caused the crash). The total cost $100 - best $100 I ever spent. I may not know anything about computers but this mom knows how to get things done!

STAY AWAY!!!

To view a more detailed account, I will be filing a complaint with the Better
Business Bureau, which Tech!Espresso is NOT a member of. Additionally,
I will be pursuing legal action.

The issues:

1) For a timely resolution, I opted to purchase a used computer from
Tech!Espresso. After the fact, it became apparent that the subcontractor
had grossly misrepresented the age of various components within the
purchased computer. I was told the computer was approximately 2 years
old; however, motherboard is 7 years old; processor is 8 years old, “new”
video card is 8 years old, and 4 “new” RAM sticks range in age from
7-9 years old.

2) Additionally, after initial service was completed, multiple technical/
software issues became apparent. These issues were never resolved
despite sending repeated requests to both the owner and subcontractor.

3) In light of the above, I requested a refund; however, their supposed
60-day warranty has not been honoured.

4) Once the assembled used computer was delivered, I discovered that
two of my RAM memory sticks mysteriously went missing!

5) Extremely poor and inadequate customer service. Tech!Espresso has
not bothered to respond to my last four communications. They are
blatantly ignoring me.

6) Conflicting communications and willingness to resolve issues between
owner, subcontractor and employees.

Over the years, I have posted many positive reviews for various companies,
and this is my first negative review … and deservedly so!
 

Kris & Ob were great guys, very personable and knowledgeable. Assessed the problem in minutes. Took to the shop and brought it back within 24 hours all fixed. Went over everything with me before leaving. I had a question an hour later and he straightened me out right away. Thanks Guys

My computer was really slow - and I depend on it for work. Kris was great in explaining what he was doing, and what needed to be done. The cost was discussed up front.

My computer is working great now. Also thanks - for quickly answering follow-up questions.

I usually cannot be bothered doing reviews but on this situation I think Kris at Techespresso deserved to be recognized ! I work up one morning and could not send any emails through windows live mail. I had 3 guys from Telus support who could not figure it out either.

I did not know what to do as I was somehow deemed to be a spammer and I was blocked

Luckily I found Kris and after reinstalling windows 10 twice and spending several hours and days he finally got it. He was very patient with me and never ever said that it would cost me more money

These guys are great and, if you do not know who to use then pick them !

I have told several people I know and they ended up saving me money and a lot of frustration !
