    Fantastic work on a challenging project

    Our front deck was in need of repair. The bases of the existing columns were also in need of repair. The owner John visited several times during the estimate process and provided a detailed analysis of what needed to be done. The project started on time, as promised. John and his expert team including Art and Steven worked diligently and dealt with a variety of issues that arose. The completed project looks terrific. We are very pleased with the manner in which this project was managed and would wholeheartedly recommend Mississauga Decks & Trim to others.

    Back Deck replacement

    John and his team, Art and Alonzo (sp) were fantastic. We appreciated their professionalism and fastidiousness. The deck is a huge improvement to what existed before. Thank you.

    Front Porch and Shed

    John and his team helped us restore our front deck according to Cabbagetown heritage standards using modern materials and it looks fantastic. We then had them back to do a custom shed in our small backyard and it is perfect!

    Porch Construction, Custom exterior woodwork for a century home

    I have worked with John before on custom wood trim in our century home. Recently we had him build a new porch which we are very happy with. John was able to restore pillars that had rot seamlessly. We also had custom exterior woodwork that needed to be copied from scratch and we are thrilled with the results. I would highly recommend Mississauga Decks and Trim and will undoubtedly need them again for future jobs.

    Two tier Deck

    John and his team completed a custom two tier deck for us. We were more than satisfied with the workmanship and timely delivery of everything that they promised. They truly take pride in their craft and deliver a superior product. I would highly recommend this company.

    Deck, Shed & BBQ Area containing SwimSpa and Hot Tub

    Mississauga Decks & Trim (MD&T) looked after the demolition of a previous deck/Hot Tub, and then built a multi-level deck structure (approximately 1,200 sq. ft.) using composite decking material. The various levels include a main deck area (520 sq. ft.), a Hot Tub area (200 sq. ft.), a raised BBQ shelter (120 sq. ft.), a SwimSpa area (250 sq. ft.) and a Storage Shed on an enjoining cement slab (120 sq. ft.). The structure was built upon helical piles providing a solid foundation that will last for decades. Although, there were a few delays due to supply chain issues during the COVID Pandemic, the quality of the work is superb and the company accommodated several specification changes throughout the entire construction process. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the finished product.

    Deck rebuild

    I cannot say enough good things about MDT. They rebuilt my deck in April and I am extremely happy with the results. I contacted 5 Toronto-area deck contractors to quote on replacing my old ground-level deck that was falling apart due to moisture issues and carpenter ants. Chris from MDT was one of the few people to actually call me back rather than email, and he gave me a ton of information on the phone and answered all of my questions. One of the first things he said to me was "if you're looking for a cheap and fast low-quality rebuild, we're not the people for you". Chris came to my house twice to look at the old deck and to discuss options for materials and design. It was clear that he was very proud of the work they do. I opted for cedar decking, and although their quote was a bit higher than the others, I selected MDT because of their excellent communication, pride of work, longer warranty, and more detailed payment schedule. John contacted me to schedule the rebuild, and he was a pleasure to work with. John and Diego arrived on schedule, and they worked hard to complete the demolition and rebuild within a reasonable time. These guys don't rush. They're trim carpenters and they pay very close attention to detail. Following demolition, they put down landscaping fabric and gravel to reduce weed growth. The deck board spacing is consistent (I have no drainage issues now), all screws line up perfectly, and the surrounding planters made from 4x4s are beautifully built.

    Fantastic work

    We hired John and his company 4 years ago (price posted was 4 years ago) to replace our fence. It was after a big wind storm that took down our whole fence and others in the neighbourhood and other parts of the city. He and his team were professional, price was reasonable, and did the job in a timely fashion. The fence is still standing and still looks great.

    Backyard Deck

    John and his team went above and beyond to create a well built and beautiful deck for our backyard. There were a few challenges that we worked together to resolve, but in the end I believe both sides were happy with the outcome. I would definitely use them again. Thanks again.
