John and his team were very efficient and professional. They arrived on time every day and completed the project in a very reasonable time frame. John is so precise and detail-oriented in his work that the finished project could only be fantastic! We are very pleased with the results and would highly recommend him for any carpentry project.

John did an outstanding job on the trim work in our two bathroom renovations and in our sunroom. This was no easy job. We had 100 year old trim that had to be reapplied after the rooms were constructed. John found solutions to problems that arose. He was able to manufacture new windowsills for us. John is always courteous and responded quickly to messages and was there when he said he would be. We will be using his skills again when we tackle out kitchen renovation.

Great Job. Very happy with the quality of the work/attention to detail on the deck. The high quality heat-treated wood that John recommended I use has It has totally transformed the look of our back yard. The price was right and I would highly recommend John as a contractor.

We wanted our stairs on our deck fixed without doing the whole thing. The basic structure seemed fine but the stairs & top rail were rotting. John & his assistant did a great job. Came on time, did exactly & more of what was promised. The stairs are actually sturdier than before & better looking. They were polite & accommodating, very easy to work with. Very happy.

I highly recommend JMC for your next patio design and built. We were trying to get quotes for over two months from other companies with very little luck, most didn't want to take on the project because of the intricate amount of cutting and effort, as well as quoting unreasonable prices. We had a side deck that was falling apart which needed to be replaced. John provided a very detailed quote outlining the sq. ft. requirements of every aspect of the deck so there were no surprises at the end of the job. He made suggestions, which we followed, with results exceeding our expectations. A skilled carpenter with many years of experience, his attention to detail was uncompromising. John takes great pride in his work ~ the deck is a solid piece of first-rate workmanship!

John came and completely redid our stairs with great attention to detail in terrible weather.
The stairs were a botch job by our deck guys and now they are gorgeous and safe for our two little boys.

Really thankful for John and his company, JMC, for helping me out with this job. I contacted multiple contractors and few were willing to take on the job as they considered it too small or, if they were, wanted to charge me an astronomical fee for it. I was getting desperate as I had neither the tools nor experience to do a proper job myself. Fortunately, I met John through Homestars and he was nice enough to take time out of his busy schedule to do this job and at a price that I considered reasonable and fair. Not only that, the end result of his labour was a beautiful looking set of stairs that was build extremely well and very solid. I know now that the old stairs that I had to rip out and replace due to another project were shoddy in comparison.
