We have very soft water coming out of our well but it stinks! For more than 40 years we had a potassium permanganate filters that did a pretty good job to remove the sulphur smell. But it was getting more expensive and more difficult to buy the potassium. So when the time came to change the media in the filter we decided to purchase a new filter instead. We bought a Chemical Free Air Injection System with a Clack valve from Ottawa Water Filters. It has been working great. No sulphur smell, more water pressure and we also think that it has reduced the tannin in the water.

They have varieties of options to choice from, listen to the recommendations so you don't have to revist in the near future. The system I choose to go with is working as described by Shawn, I would like to upgrade to a larger capacity system in the near future.

Shawn was great and did a fantastic job. Our well water failed a safe for drinking test and Shawn knew exactly what to do. He installed a UV and filter system in our house and our well water tested perfectly less than 2 weeks later. I will highly recommend Shawn and Ottawa Water Filters in the future.

I would highly recommend this water softener to anyone who has hard water with a significant amount of iron. Shawn Sauve provides OUTSTANDING service, he was responsive and addressed all of my questions. I am no longer challenged with my hair turning a lovely colour of orange and stained toilet bowls.
