We hired Shane & Clint Marks from Woodridge Construction Inc. along with their team of trades people to renovate the entire main floor of our house. Our next-door neighbours had used them for their basement renovation and highly recommended them to us. We viewed the renos at our neighbour’s house and were further convinced that Woodridge Construction would do a great job for us. They did not disappoint.
We walked through the house with Clint and he took notes on all items we wished to have renovated. Shane provided a written quote and a start date. Demolition started on time and included removing the popcorn ceilings, old kitchen, washrooms, flooring, trim, and some walls. The renovations included the following:
- expanding walk-in closet and installing a closet organizer in it
- creating a small laundry room
- two washrooms - installing floor tiles, new toilets, vanities, granite counter tops, plumbing lighting, tiling the shower stall and installing glass doors,
- kitchen - coordinating installation of the cabinetry, installing new electrical outlets, plumbing, and crushed quartz counter tops;
- installing pot lights and light fixtures throughout, new door jams, trim, crown moulding, hardwood flooring including on the stairs, railings around the stairs; brick veneer on the fireplace, additional insulation in the attic, and painting the entire interior of the house.
They completed the work on time and on budget. If materials or labour cost less than what was quoted they told us and used the money to pay for additional items we requested beyond the scope of the original quote. They kept the house relatively clean during the renos given that we were living in the basement.
If we ever decide to renovate another house we would not hesitate to hire Woodridge Construction again.
