Floor Coverings International – North York

We hired Floor Coverings Internstional to replace our kitchen hardwood floor and entranceway ceramics tiles with porcelain tiles.

We were walked through the process very thoroughly by Drew Timbers (from North York store). He sent us to a tile company they deal with and we picked a beautiful tile.

Everyone was professional and Sam and Drew were always available for any questions we had.

There were some small delays but we were not inconvenienced much.

When the floor was finally done (after recaulking) it turned out beautifully.

Thank you Sam and Drew for being so helpful and professional and so kind. I felt they worked hard at making us happy and really cared that we were happy with the job and we are.

The overall experience is terrible. I found this vendor on Homestar for doing my kitchen backsplash. The salesperson contacted me a few days after I submitted the request and quoted a higher price than the others. I believed the service worth it due to the rating.

Then the nightmare began. The sales first book a weekend as he explained the service to be finished in 1.5 days. Just the about 2 days before the scheduled date, he called that the tiler is not available and he will re-schedule it. I was surprised as he should handle this at the beginning but I have to accept it as no way to have the tiler here. The 2nd schedule was booked the weekend after the 1st one and then the same thing happened. The sales called again said that he forgot to book the date with the tiler and he asked me to do this. I was shocked that why should I do his work while I have paid for the service.

Finally the sales booked the 3rd date which was a long weekend. I have to cancel my schedule to wait at home. The tiler came this time and did 70% for one day and left the rest to the Saturday later as he wanted to take the weekend with his family which I totally understand. However the bad service management from Floor Coverings International ruined the family time for the weekend for both of us.

I would like to give credit to the tiler's work but the whole experience dealing with Floor Coverings International is unbelievably awful. I asked if I could be compensated for a discount but the answer was no. Anyway, I paid for the balance I would never want to get the service from this company. Not recommended to anyone who value your time and expect to have your paid service done on time.

I was extremely pleased with my sales rep Drew’s knowledge and professionalism. I purchased bradloom for my staircase and upstairs hallway. The installers were terrific. They arrived and finished on time, cleaned up after themselves and took everything away with them which saved me from having to put the old carpeting out to the garbage. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

From our first contact with Drew we were impressed with Floor Coverings International. Drew came to our office with samples to provide a quote. The quote was reasonable and we hired the company. When the installation was done, it was on time and on budget, and done when our office was closed to decrease disruption of our business. The carpet layers moved the big furniture and put it back afterwards. Amazing service! The follow-up was was incredible. We had a small issue with our baseboards due to the age of our building (old!) and Sam, the manager, came back on TWO weekends, on his own time, to fix the issue. We cannot recommend these guys highly enough. First rate company! Keep up the great work.

Floor Coverings International provided outstanding service with the installation of tiles for my kitchen floor and hallway. I would highly recommend their services as they are very reliable, professional and do quality work. The project was completed on time and on budget.

Sam Cendana was amazing from the start. Fully describing the work, quality, expectations, and protocols, there were no surprises with the installation. This company is very well versed in rules and regulations. We live in a condo and Sam beat our property manager to certain points even before they got there. They made sure everything was to code and dealt with all the cleanup. We had carpet in 2 bedrooms which we replaced with laminate when we bought the condo. Sam matched it to near perfection and the installation was done in a day. They don't end with the project, as Sam came back to inspect and ensure everything was done to the quality expected with the company. Very impressed with this company and highly recommend. If you want the job done right the first time and up to code, this is your answer.

Put in a linoleum on the floor with irregular dimensions. Had a good choice of flooring colours in order to make a selection, kept to schedule and were on time for scheduled appointments.

It was our pleasure to be Sam's client. Perfect timing, attention to details, accommodation of all our needs and requests. People who did the work always showed up time and worked long hours until they were satisfied with the result of their work (the geometry of our basement is far from being perfect).
