Service from sales to installation was terrific. I was guided through each step of the way and answers given to every questions asked. The delivery and installation team arrived well within the window promised and the work was done efficiently. They then explained what was done and any maintenance I had to be aware off. The cleanup afterwards was thorough.

My 15 year old air conditioning system finally broke down after a summer of intense heat. I called Summers and Smith whom I have used for service for many years. Within two days I had a quote and three days later the full installation. The installers, Scott and Grant did an excellent and expert job. I highly recommend this company!

S&S are my Go To HVAC people after several jobs. They keep to a schedule, keep you informed and of course do good work. More importantly they look for ways to improve your situation by correcting things that are required, letting you know what to watch for and making suggestions to help. The technicians are very qualified and they are polite. But even better they smile and seem to enjoy their work. What more can you ask.

I had called and requested for my AC refrigerant to be topped up. Technician came to my residence and informed in 2 minutes that sale of R22 refrigerant used in my AC was stopped as of January 1, 2020.

I would have expected Summers and Smith Cooling & Heating Ltd representative to at least ask me (when I had called to set up appointment) whether my AC refrigerant was R22 as this refrigerant was stopped. I could have checked the AC model information tag on the AC to see if the refrigerant was R22 before booking the service call. Assuming I was not able to find which refrigerant was used from the AC specification tag put on the AC, I could have taken a decision not to go ahead with the service call.

Helping customers take a better decision to go ahead with a service call is a sign of a good and reliable company. I had to pay $146 for the service technician to come and let me know refrigerant was not available.

We have used Summers and Smith for many years and have always been satisfied with their service. The technician always arrives on time, is very courteous, knowledgeable, and timely in his work, answering all our questions. We would highly recommend Summers and Smith for all your heating and cooling needs.

This company is top notch starting from sales to installation and follow-up. Over a period of 8 months, they replaced my: furnace, humidifier, A/C, installed gas-lines to the kitchen and backyard bbq, as well as a gas fireplace. Concerns raised or inquiries were consistently given full attention and addressed in a timely manner. I am truly impressed by their professionalism, workmanship, expertise and customer service. Love Summers and Smith! Water heater broke during a heat advisory/everyone-needs-to-have-an-air-conditioner-right-now. I called 9 different plumbers/places, and no one returned the call. I called S & S to asked for a recommendation. I did not know they also did water heaters, or I would have called them first! They had someone out within 3 hours to check to see if the water heater could be repaired. It could not, so right on the spot, Sam called into the office to schedule an installation appointment and then contacted the sales department with the details. Kevin in sales took the details, gave us the pros and cons of going to on-demand hot water, prices, etc., and then got back us 2 hours later to follow up, placed the order and got us set us up confirmed with a time and day.
The office staff, always so friendly and efficient, managed to wiggle us a space to get the install done. This was a feat of no small proportion given that anywhere installing a/c is fully booked at this time, leaving no room for water heaters installations. Installers arrive promptly at appointed day and time, laid out protective rugs on floors and stairs, and did a clean and quick install. Total cost (given above) was under-estimate given the efficiency of the installers. BTW, they were very polite and friendly, left my clean furnace room and floors immaculate, took time after calling in the job complete to explain the difference in care and maintenance of the new heater. There was no inappropriate language when they struggled to get the old water heater up the stairs (they took away for disposal, included in cost). Just patiently worked their way up the stairs. Even though we drained the water heater annually as per instructions, and had left it to drain (and left a few hot taps open to help) until we to empty it, the drain plug had become clogged, leaving it half full with a drain this time could not be unclogged.
We have used Summers and Smith for at 20 years to maintain our furnace (and replace) and always been very happy with them. Calls are answered promptly with friendly voices, and messages are returned quickly (even on the coldest nights at 3 a.m. when furnace stopped working, which they came out at no charge to fix). We like that their staff are paid hourly, and they do not contract out. The emphasis is on getting the job done efficiently but correctly, rather than just as fast as they can get out of there. The price is a little more, but we are paying for reliable, warrantied service. We have been called when there is a recall, a problem has been noted that might come up under warranty, or during the annual clean he technicians have caught problems and set them right before they become a major expense. We only pay for the yearly maintenance check. We highly recommend Summers and Smith!

We recently had a new high efficiency furnace installed.
Kevin the sales agent was easy to talk to and listened to my questions giving knowledgeable answers to this new technology. The installers Andrew and Grant did an excellent job of installing in a confined area.In this difficult time of coved-19 they exercised proper precautions and left the premises clean. They also answered my question as the install progressed. They were both personable.
Will recommend this company to anyone .
