When my grandson had an abdomen injury he was having a lot of trouble eating. We bought the vitamix to try and help, help it did. He ate soups, smoothies and what a wonderful way to get in so nutrition in . Several years later he still uses the vvitamix 2 or 3 times a week, for vegetable or fruit smoothies. I would highly recommend this all purpose machines. I t makes great drinks with crushed ice as well.
