UPDATE: Owner reached out personally
Update: the owner of the company called me personally to walk through the issues of the job. She was friendly, apologetic, and willing to do whatever necessary to remedy the situation. I am now in regular touch with them re finishing the work, and will be using them again in future to give it another shot.
SLOW work and really disappointing customer service
The service, communication, and organization from this company is abysmal. They originally estimated 8 hours for the job(s) in my home, including some electrical work (hanging a couple of new light fixtures), the worker showed up and said he can't hang lights and we need an electrician. The company knew in advance that we needed this done and it was part of approved estimate/quote. So, worker proceeded with things he could actually do, and he did about half of one of the jobs in the basement (plastering) and NOTHING else was completed the first day. Granted, there was more to that one job than originally anticipated, but it still wasn't a full day of work completed. No update from company, no phone call, no explanation. Second day he arrived and almost finished the basement job (it still isn''t complete), and did one other job (assembling a small dresser) for another full day of work. And the dresser isn't fully assembled - claims a manufacturer issue, but who knows. Then the company told me he isn't available to finish the jobs due to scheduling, and we could finish ourselves if we wanted (??), or they could book him in for ANOTHER day of work in the next couple of weeks. Communication is scant, incredibly disorganized, and frustrating. The work is SLOW and you are paying by the hour. So, I have 2 of the 5 jobs originally estimated only partially complete at this point. No joke. Nothing is fully complete after 2 solid days of work. I had really hoped these guys would be awesome because we frequently need small jobs done in our home. NEVER again will I use this company. Be warned.
UPDATE: he returned today for 20 minutes to 'finish' the basement job (the other 4 jobs on estimate weren't completed, remember) after negotiating an afternoon time slot with booking coordinator... she then calls me at 10am and tells me he is outside my house because he finished a morning job early and can he do it now because they have BOOKED HIM AT ANOTHER JOB in the afternoon. Yeah, he was meant to be booked at my house in the afternoon. Totally mind boggling. Anyway, I've attached some photos of what I found when I got home. Enjoy.
