When we first started to get quotes for our countertop project, upfront - Paul and Barb told us that they would not likely be the least expensive company for granite or quartz countertops. When all four quotes came in, theirs was in fact the highest of the group. It was hard to compare apples to apples with the other quotes - they were complicated and not straight-forward. The others gave price variations for different "grades" of granite and the "lowest" grade was the lowest price. Northern Marble and Granite price was easy to understand. we visited all the granite shops to meet the companies and view the slabs. Paul and Barb were by far the easiest people to deal with. The others seem to want to get you in the door on price, when in fact their lowest price granite was nothing to brag about. Why they would start their pricing with such plain looking granite is misleading. When what we really wanted was much more expensive, making the other quotes higher than Northern Marble and Granite by the end of the process. we went with Northern Marble and Granite because they did not try to fool us by offering a low price then switching the price up once we picked our stone. the quality of their workmanship is superior to any we have seen of our friends who when with one of the other companies. our friends have seen our granite and are disappointed by their process by comparison. if you want honest people who have been doing this the longest, don't be fooled by the new guys who are there to love you and leave you. we were shocked when Barb followed up shortly after the install see if everything was ok with our countertops and their service. through our entire renovation, NO COMPANY in the north has ever treated us with such respect. they communicate throughout the transaction and ALWAYS showed up when they said they would. we are so happy with our decision and with our new kitchen. Please insist on the best! it is your money and you deserve the respect.
