Abalon Foundation Repairs

When running the electrical in our basement we noticed water on the walls and moisture on the wall base plates. I called Abalon and Juan came the next day and looked at this for me. He explained what was happening and how to eliminate the moisture in the future, gave me some great tips and gave me the confidence that he knew exactly the issue and how to resolve it. Due to recent spillage from one of our eavestroughs, I had come to the conclusion that our attached garage had a problem with a subsiding foundation. Juan came out to see the circumstances on February 25, 2021. After a thorough review of the situation, and with the diplomacy needed so that I wouldn't feel stupid, he gave me a good description of how these foundations work and how ours had no problem at all. The source of my concern was elsewhere, and he gave me several suggestions for addressing the problem. So although they did no actual foundation work for us, I was greatly impressed by Juan’s professionalism, and I have no hesitation in recommending him and Abalon Foundations to anyone considering such work.

We had Abalon do a foundation lift of a unit in our complex. They started the day they said they would and kept us updated regularly on how the project was going and concerns that came up. Sal in particular went above and beyond by meeting with our condo board at least twice and was available to answer any and all questions that came up.
The work site was as immaculate as possible. Dirt was piled onto plywood, not grass, and the trench around the unit looked like it had been vacuumed out it was so clean. Their attention to detail was superior in doing the lift. Keep in mind, finishing carpentry is not their forte - if you have a finishing contractor you would prefer to use, let them know.
Highly recommend them for work ethic and overall customer service.

I have been late in my review of Abalon I wanted to wait for a season and check the results still dry! When you have the unpleasant situation of water coming into your basement you are faced with a couple of choices. 1 Rip out drywall and patch from inside 2 dig up round foundation and patch from outside. After some advice from a coworker who used to be in the industry I went with outside and was glad I did. When you see the work involved in fixing a foundation crack you understand the cost. If your looking for a permanent fix this is the way to go. Job Well done Fella's
