Tom Mac Rae Painting

We are extremely happy with the painting of our new home! This was a large scale project with a lot of prep work required during and after construction but Tom completed it on time and with great attention to detail. Tom was extremely professional, flexible, and the final product was amazing! Thank you!

We were looking to have our condo (approx. 1100 sq. ft.) freshened up as we were just moving in. Every closet was a different colour inside and the off-white look dull and dirty in our south-facing space.

We were happy when Tom was able to fit us in between projects and freshen up the place ceiling to trim in only two days! White can be a tricky colour to apply and get the clean crispness we were hoping for - he did it with no trouble! He was even able to work around our curious cat.

Project: semi-gloss on trim and doors, eggshell on walls, flat on ceilings - all white. $2500 +tax.

Tom recently finished another project of mine. He is my "go to' guy for painting and treats all of my customers homes as if they were his own. Because of this I can concentrate on other aspects of my contracting business and have the peace of mind that my painting requirements are dealt with seamlessly. I would definitely recommend him to others!

Tom had a challenging task of painting new black crown moulding against white ceilings and walls. Very high on a ladder in our cathedral ceiling, he expertly painted our six-inch moulding and the arch around our picture window.

On the main floor, our older white crown moulding was up against the uneven contours of a 'popcorn' ceiling. Tom was able to cut impressive straight-lines even on the difficult to reach wall over our kitchen cupboards.

Tom is friendly and very approachable. He makes suitable suggestions when appropriate and communicates clearly what he is doing. Tony works at a fast pace whilst retaining full accuracy in his work .

Tom was great right from the first call... friendly and professional, and flexible with a visit for the estimate. His quote was extremely reasonable. His flexibility, again, with scheduling the work was much appreciated, working around our needs. In the end, he finished in one day (vs. estimated two). His painting is good quality; he make a good call with sanding the surfaces, managing to cover the really bad previous paint job, with dips and all. Thanks Tom, we'd definitely hire you again and highly recommend you to others.

I found Tom on Homestars, and read positive feedback from others. He wasn't Number 1 but often those companies are too busy for small or fast turnaround jobs. We are really glad we wrote to Tom, and you will be too, I have no doubt!
