Leaks in Basement to be fixed.

We had three leaks in our basement and decided to call the crack doctor after a friend said they did a good job. They were 2 1/2 hours late for the first appointment and we had to re-schedule. When they came, they told us that the repair could not be fixed from the inside and had to be done from the outside. My wife asked for a quote, which was a crazy amount, as they told her it was more expensive to do in the winter. We told them we would get back to them, and they did not return any of the insulation or vapor barrier, and then charged us over $90 for the service call. Check the website: It clearly says 50 pt FREE estimates. I will not be calling them back to do the work.....awful!

Company Response

We are very sorry for being late for our first appointment. The office called immediately to notify for the delay due to the previous appointment taking longer than expected .In that conversation with your wife, was agreed the appointment to be rescheduled to accommodate her schedule not to interfere with the daycare that is run in the house.
Regarding other issues we made a full investigation to find out what happened.
During the first call in the office with one of our trained specialists over the phone about the leaks in the basement, it was determined there was one visible crack and two other potential cracks that were leaking.

A free estimate was given for one interior crack repair and was advised that when the technician was there he would inspect for free the other areas and provide a solution. The estimate to repair one inside crack was accepted by the customer, therefore an appointment was scheduled to repair one inside crack foundation.
The next appointment was scheduled for December 23rd, and our technician managed to be there 30 minutes ahead of time to ensure that he was not late due to the traffic.

When the technician was there, he was ready to do exactly what was agreed over the phone, which was to repair one crack and inspect the other problem areas and provide a solution.
He made a full inspection of the basement. There was one visible crack that he could have repaired on that day, another crack behind the furnace not accessible from the inside, and a porous area that was determined not suitable for the interior repair. It is very important that we provide solutions to our customers that we can fully guarantee, and not just a “quick fix”.
The customer refused to do any of the work on this day, and service call of $85 plus tax was collected, which was explained to the customer that it is 100% refundable towards any repairs done by us.
The quote provided is price competitive and well accepted throughout the industry for the type of work proposed.
We well be happy to help!

Repair of leaky wall in basement

Last week I discovered water leaking in my basement (just a bit through a very obvious cracking in the wall, not a flood). I used the crack doctor (gotta love the name) to fix the leak.

Very impressed with the workmanship- the fellow was friendly and worked fast. The only negative thing I could say is that he arrived almost 3 hours later than I was told he would, so right at dinner time (and he parked in the middle of my two car driveway so my dinner guests could not park in the driveway).

Overall minor inconveniences that would likely happen with most contractors. Would hire again from here.

Internal Crack Injection

I don't normally go on these type of sites but I just had to after my experience with The Crack Doctor! I had a leak in my basement and it was a pain! I called around and got some quotes but a buddy of mine told me about The Crack Doctor. He said the service was excellent, the price was fair and the warranty was fantastic! I called and spoke to Glen-he was fantastic! He noted my problem right away and provided me with a quote over the phone-it saved me time waiting for someone to come in, quote then schedule the work! He sent a tech over real fast! The tech came in and fixed it in under 2 hours! He was personable, knowledgeable and helpful! When he was done he gave me my warranty-it was easy! I cant speak for anyone else but my experience was great and I will recommend them to anyone! Thanks Crack Doctor!

Waterproofing

I had the Crack doctor come in to do some work on my wet basement, they dug out a 20 ft trench and installed a sump pump. Not even 2 years later the sump plump blew on us and we have mold growing on the wall that the work was done. They told me that I could have them come in and install a new sump pump for $440.00, imagine that. I explained to Michael that I had seen the sump pump that they so kindly installed for us at home depot for $200.00 and asked why he was trying to charge me so much for it, his response was " we dont use those anymore because they had problems" Yes Obviously, my basement is soaked. I thought that they should replace it considering they purchased a cheap sump pump and installed it, I didnt have a choice in choosing it and I trust they know what they are doing. I was wrong, they did not stand behind their work and it cost me 2500.00 plus whatever I will be spending to redo this job. They wouldnt even come in and look at the mold.

Never Again!!
