After reading great online reviews of Hallway Home Inspections we hired Tristan to complete a home inspection on our new home in advance of submitting our one year report to Tarion. We are so glad that we did, he caught things we wouldn't have on our own. He was thorough and professional and provided a detailed report for us, with photographs, that same evening! We would highly recommend him to friends and family, and will definitely hire him again when we purchase our next home.

I have hired Tristan to do multiple home inspections for me and I have been very satisfied each time. His inspections are thorough and complete. He explains everything in the house and is very knowledgeable with the building code.

Tristan Hall did a 2.25 hour inspection of the Ottawa condo/loft I plan to buy. His attention to detail on site was excellent and in the final report was even more explicit. Tristan was amazing for my home inspection, he came in very short notice as i left things to the last minute and had to waive my conditions for my new home the next day! Tristan gave me an option of doing a verbal with pictures or writing up the entire report and i chose the verbal since it was not my first property. He encouraged me to go through the entire house with him so he could explaing everything and showed me directly any problem areas of the home. I will continue to refer Tristan in the future and look forward to using his greaet services again!

First of all I am happy that I checked this website for reviews before calling Tristan for home inspection. Definitely myself and my parents were not disappointed at all. Despite the temperature was going up to 30 C, he did not hesitate to go up the roof and do a very detailed inspection about it.
In addition, he was very friendly and flexible over the phone for booking the appointment. Over the email he sent some information pages, to know what to expect during the inspection. He was on time, in fact we were little late for the inspection :S Before starting he took time to provide us what to expect and what he will be doing. While inspecting he encouraged to ask if there are any questions and he was ready to listen to our concerns. Furthermore, at the end of the inspection he gave us a summary of important issues of the home. The next day he sent out a very detailed report. Thanks to this report we received a list of problems from priority 1 to minor with pictures and possible recommendations on how to solve them. I have to say those recommendations do help when is your first time purchasing a single home. This is our first time going through an inspection and we are really happy to have chosen Hallway Home Inspections and I would definitely recommend his service.

After reading the positive reviews he's received on Home Stars, I called Tristan to do a home inspection as a condition of purchase. I was not disappointed! On the phone, Tristan was helpful and professional. In person, he was punctual, patient, knowledgeable, and personable. At the beginning of the process, Tristan took the time to introduce himself properly (to me and to the home owner, who was also there), and tell me all about the home inspection process. He listened to my concerns and answered my questions clearly. He let me follow him around the house while he did his work, and made sure to explain his process as he went. He was very thorough, taking over three hours to inspect every part of the home. He got up on the roof, crawled into the 57 degree attic (sorry, Tristan!), and checked every wall, window, switch, appliance, plug, etc. He took over 400 photos of his findings, and discussed them in detail with me after the fact. His report was phenomenal -- delivered on time, and professional in presentation and helpful in detail. I feel very confident that the house has been thoroughly checked over, and that we now have a comprehensive list of all its problems, from the more significant to the quite minor. I've had home inspections done before, and none have ever been as thorough or professional as the one done by Tristan. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone for this service.

Trsitan's home inspection process is long and thorough. He took the time to go through every single area inside and outside. Tristan was able to explain to me everything I needed to know about the house I purchased before I confirmed the sale. He made me feel confident about buying my house and I couldn't have done it confidently without his knowledge.

Hallway Home Inspections surpassed our expectations and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tristan Hall to other home owners looking for a home inspector.

This was the second time we required the assistance of a home inspector and Tristan was head and shoulders above our previous inspector. The inspection lasted over three hours and was extremely thorough. Throughout the process he kept us informed and explained what he had found and what he was looking for as he went through the house. He was able to answer most of our questions on the spot. The few questions that he couldn’t answer right away he found answers for within 24 hours rather than trying to pretend he knew the answer at the time.

The final report was provided within a day or so of the inspection and was completely personalized. Whereas our previous home inspector had just used a template with checkboxes, Tristan took the time to provide us with a detailed and custom report full of colour photographs and detailed descriptions of his findings along with a few recommendations.

If we find ourselves in need of a home inspector in the future Tristan will be the first person we call.
