We had a great experience with finishedbasements.ca. Joe provided us with a very thorough and detailed quote and very clearly explained the process to us. Igor came to help us decide on the layout. We worked with the interior designer Natalie who helped us choose everything. It was great to see models in the show room so we could see how things would look together. Natalie had very helpful recommendations. The team that came to do the work was very professional and did an excellent job. Our basement was finished in 3 weeks which is what they promised and the final amount was what we had been expecting from the quote with no surprises. We were very happy with the finished product and we are very happy we decided to go with this company. It was a smooth process from start to finish.

We hire John and his team after interviewing 6 basement renovation companies and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our choice. John stood out as an honest craftsman at a competitive rate, and we couldn’t be more pleased that he delivered on the vast scope of work, on time, on budget, and with quality material and workmanship. John was our go-to for everything, from design, to bringing us samples rather than us having to shop around at multiple suppliers during covid. He was onsite practically everyday, and was always responsive to any questions, or complexities that needed to be addressed. He was the master coordinator of all tradespple, and there wasn’t a single day during this project that our home was sitting idle. Everyone that came through our home was very respectful of our property which was much appreciated. The quality of the workmanship speaks for itself, and final outcome is incredible. We did a complete gut to our foundation, including new floors and subfloor, soundproof, as well as installing custom kitchenette, 2 custom office areas, gym and sauna area, bathroom, laundry room, new gas line and fireplace, wall in closets, back door and stairs. Without a doubt we would absolutely recommend John and his team to everyone in need to renovate their home, and we plan to use John for our next reno project.

This is the second time we've used Finished Basements to renovate parts of our home. 5 years ago we installed a gorgeous double-sided stone fireplace between our main floor kitchen and family room. This year, we decided to renovate our 1,000 sq ft basement. We did our research and got quotes from multiple companies. Right away, John and his team stood out - especially during COVID - competitive quote, attention to detail, responsive and always professional. Their expertise gives you complete peace of mind. They always had time for talk, design and construction suggestions and we did make some changes on the fly and the Finished Basements team delivered. No easy job - gutted original basement to studs, removed load bearing wall... installed new custom kitchen, bath, laundry, fitness, pantry, and storage rooms, + new floor with all the lighting and trimmings you'd expect from a modern renovation company. This was our second time hiring Finishedbasements.ca (CBG Homes Inc.) to build a finished basement for us, and they did even better this time than last time! (2018 was the first one).

We got a full galley kitchen, 3 piece bathroom, storage, sitting area and 2 full bedrooms into 1100 SF. We also added significant upgrades as well - in case anyone is wondering about the project cost.

They were professional, on time, and as you will see from the pictures Class A Builders. We really enjoyed working with them and would hire them a third time without hesitation.
