Hired this company based on owners proclamation of having 4.8* rating on Facebook (rigged by a contest), his statement that he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce (also untrue) and his story that my installer was a "red seal" carpenter (still to be determined). Mr. Murray, the owner told me I did not need a permit for a deck at my front entrance. He later cemented the same statement in a text message. I later learned a permit and a minor variance were required. The end result the entire deck has to be removed. When I informed Mr. Murray, he stated "I though we could get away with it". Also, the deck did not pass building codes either.

Hired the company had to fight for 18 months to get work that was said to be completed in a weekend. Had the inspection done and it failed as the ramp was incomplete. We then had to finish the work ourselves and pay out of pocket for the difference so that the inspection could be signed off on.

Even after sending Dave the inspection reports and what needed to be completed we got nothing. Our door that we originally ordered was never installed. We did agree on a different door but we never got anything back for the difference in price and he charged us extra on our ramp when quoted at a different amount and let’s not forget about the backdating on the contract.

Do yourself a huge favour and DO NOT hire this company as you’re going to truly regret it.

Dave promised to complete our job within a two week period and true to his word, all work was completed within our agreed timelines and the work was done very well. His work crew Jason and Jordan were excellent workers who were were professional in all aspects of their work. Not only did they do an awesome job, they cleaned the worksite every night before leaving.

My house is an original house in Hanmer... actually the first farm house in Farmdale. The roof, was a challenge and EcoLife took the time to ensure that the roof was sealed right. Along with an ice barrier and under lay. Beautiful job, fellas. I also I must commend them for fixing a hole that they found with the old wood on the old portion of the roof. Solid and beautiful. I highly recommend this company for their solid time and energy they put into a difficult 12/12 pitch. The cleanup was impressive as well. Thanks EcoLife!!!

Great company! David is a hard working and fair business man. I would recommend his company to anyone looking for some home renovations. Good quality work and product as well.

Dave and his crew took my rundown looking farmhouse and gave it a complete face lift. Every body I've met who knows my farm from before I got it tells me how beautiful it is now and how different it looks. I love it too. Dave has an eye for what looks great and suggested a few things that just made the house that much more appealing to look at. When it came time to build my Garage/barn the addition made the farm look like a million bucks.. I love my new old farm.

We are in the process of a complete exterior Reno. The work is still in the beginning phase. I am expecting a great result based on the work done so far and the service. Dave has been very prompt in returning phone calls and has answered every questions we have had to our satisfaction. Dan, the forman is also also very pleasant and skilled. I will post again at the end of the renovation. So far, so good.
