Having moved seven times in roughly fourteen years, I can attest to the quality and expertise First Rate Movers brings to the table - especially when compared to other companies we've dealt with. In our experience with them, there's only ever been one hitch, and they made a point of rectifying the issue immediately and to our complete satisfactionone of the benefits of working with a fully insured, honest, and ethical company.

Furthermore, not only have their estimates been bang on for the three last moves we had with them, but their level of organization and attention to detail cannot be beaten. And all of that at market-competitive rates. What more could you ask for?

Simply put, First Rate Movers not only live up to their name, but in my opinion, they are without equal. They are the only option for us, and I don't see that ever changing.

First Rate Movers were excellent. They paid attention and care to our belongings and did a great job of taking things apart and ensuring all the little pieces made it to the new home safely. The team lead during the move was professional and explained everything up front and was happy to answer any questions. They also have a fantastic insurance policy that is built into their rate which is competitive. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking to move a large home and stay within the minimum time use their services. All in all, a wonderful experience. This was my third move with them and I wasn't disappointed!

Matt and his team were great, they always had our best interest in mind. They were the only movers we could find who could hoist the sofa over the balcony and there was an extra surcharge for the same. But Matt's team tried their best (and succeeded) to avoid the hoisting fee and move the sofa using the narrow stariway. They were great and really quick and managed to stick to the minimum time agreed even though we went over the number of boxes quoted. I would highly recommend them.

Fourth time using First Rate Movers and I highly recommend them. Every time, I have had a fantastic experience. One move in between these four I hired a different company and realized how different it can be (and not in a good way!). Made me realize that First Rate Movers have expertise that not all movers do. I think it helps that the owner, Matt, does a pro job at estimating job size and ensures the right number of people and time allocation. And that his staff seem to be well paid and/or well-treated because they work for him for long periods of time, unusual in the industry, I think. One outcome is that the training and experience of the movers really shows.

First Rate Movers Inc is incredible! I first used their services in 2010 and hired them again for my move in November 2023. From the get-go, Matt was so very kind and patient answering all of my questions. He was knowledgeable, personable, good-natured and so very professional!

This is the second time we've used First Rate for a house move and they didn't disappoint. Matt's crew showed up on time, were very careful to protect our furniture with moving blankets and moved everything into our home with great care. The lads were courteous and very efficient. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a house move - large or small.

The team at First Rate Movers was awesome! From the moment I reached out to Matt at First Rate for information and a quote, I got a quick response and all the information I could have ever needed. We had so many boxes and the layout of our home made it horrible to move, but the First Rate Movers guys were professional, funny, really nice and seemed really happy to be doing the work they were doing. The team treated our furniture with care and diligently packed and unpacked the truck. They were very receptive to guidance and constantly asked where I wanted things placed in the new house. I would 100% recommend this company and I will be using them again in the future!

The date of our move to our new home was very uncertain and therefore stressful as we had to vacate our unit on a fixed day. Matt solved that problem and we were off to an excellent start. The team was friendly, efficient and careful with our belongings. We moved on a rainy day but nothing got wet and there was no damage or lost items. The furniture and boxes were placed where we wanted them to be, making it easier to settle in. We would definitely recommend this company. it was the best move we have ever had.

First Rate Movers already moved me 4 times within Ottawa area. They are my preferred moving Company and every time everything was moved to my new home in impeccable state. Nothing lost or broken.
