I hired Alex and his team to demo our old basement and install new windows. The job was done quickly and within budget.

I will be certainly inviting Alex back for future work.

We met with 3 separate contractors and we couldn’t be more pleased with choosing GTA Basement Experts. From my very first meeting with Alex I felt very comfortable and trustworthy of his company. He was able to provide a functional design for us utilizing all available space. His onsite staff were very skilled and they worked long hours to ensure the schedule demands were met. Sergei was the onsite Project Manager and he was very professional and always there to ensure the quality of work from his staff was performed with the highest of standards. Midway through the renos we made a few design changes and Sergie was very accommodating without any problems . He always kept in contact with us to ensure we were satisfied as the work progressed. If anyone is looking for a contractor to provide exceptional service and stay on time and on budget I would highly recommend GTA Basement Experts.

Absolutely amazing experience with GTA basement experts. I researched many companies before settling on these guys and was not disappointed. Very honest and reasonably priced group, Alex was a pleasure to work with - a real professional who answered all our questions and was attentive to detail. The renovations were all done within the time frame we agreed upon with no delays and Sergey was easily available and managed his team well and efficiently. If we have another basement to renovate in the future, we will definitely go with these guys again - I would highly recommend them!

Overall GTA basement Experts did a satisfactory job. Most importantly they are honest and take pride in their reputation and are concerned about how their customers perceive them.
The only issue is that they have so many projects on the go that Sergei the supervisor was almost never at my site for more than 15 minutes a day and that too not daily. This led to either inadequate understanding of the project scope or inadequate and improper communication of work details to their subcontractors and no one caught the mistakes. I had to point many of the mistakes and miss-outs which led to them having to re-do many things causing delays and more importantly, loss to GTA Basement Experts.
To their credit they rectified all of the problems satisfactorily, but they could do better to avoid the aggravation.

This review is a little late in coming because we have been enjoying our new basement so much.
GTA Basement Experts was a pleasure to deal with - and extremely professional in their approach in getting this job done. We have done a lot of work on our house -including adding an entire 2nd floor- and this experience was definitely one of the best.
From planning to execution, everything was handled as we would like it. Lots of communication and professionalism in moving this to completion.

Honest and professional group. The main concern with renovations is who can you trust. We trusted Alex and his group and had no regrets whatsoever. The work was done in the estimated time frame, no matter what we threw at them they were able to execute and in good quality. Sergei, our project manager, is very knowledgeable and we relied on him for advice and input. We recently had GTA Basement Experts complete our basement finishing, and we are extremely happy with the results. We first met with Alex and were very impressed with his design ideas and how detailed and straight forward the quote he presented to us was. They started the job on time, and their team was very professional and hard-working. Alex and Sergei were fantastic to deal with, and were always very quick to answer any questions we had. We are very happy with our basement and would recommend GTA Basement Experts to anyone.

Great experience with this company. Very reliable and totally quality oriented. We knew that we had to finish the basement but really not sure what to do. Alex was very knowledgeble and suggested us several options. Very clear what was feasable and not feasable. He had the patience to revise more than once the quote and explained in details material was to be used. Sergei was very knowledgeble on the operation side. The competence and quality orientation was noticable. At the end we were and , after one full year year, we are very happy with the project.

After talking to several contractors and getting quotes, the only company that I could trust was GTA basement experts. The detailed quote provided was outstanding. The quote demonstrated what quality of materials would be used and I had a chance to choose higher or lower quality products. They did everything I asked for and did the job according to the schedule provided.
A few months after the job was done, I noticed a minor flaws in kitchenette backsplash installation. I have to say, it was a very minor issue and was not even visible unless you pay attention. When the owner contacted me to see if I am satisfied with the work, I said everything was perfect except the backsplash. I even told him that there is nothing that we can do at this point. But, he send workers to fix that minor issue to make the job "perfect"! I have to say, I didn't expect the issue to be resolved. They had to remove a cabinet, a mirror, one row of stone backsplash, fix the issue and put them all back together!
That is why I gave them 10 out of 10 and recommended to anyone looking to renovate a basement!

Amazing job! We are very pleased with our new basement. After meeting with a few other companies we knew right away that GTA Basement Experts were the right people for the job. Alex and Sergei are very easy to contact & talk to, extremely knowledgeable and answered any questions we had right away. They also made the entire process worry free. Thank you to the entire team. Very detailed, professional, respectful and right on schedule. Very impressed at how clean they kept everything during the renovation. We couldn't ask for better result.
