Its been over a month that i tried at all levels to amicably settle my case with Enpure amicably and with appropriate reasoning and using a notional approach. Unfortunately, all my effort went in-vain and now a days, i'm not getting any response to my emails from Enpure. Iterating my story with a hope that it will be resolved
40 gallon GSW hot water tank was contracted and installed on mid-Sep, 2012 for 120 months at a price of $13.99/month with annual rise of 3% to rental fees. no payment defaults till date. The contract model has serial # S0305xxxxxx and i've learned that it's tank manufactured in May 2003. below are my questions

1. How much more life is left in this old tank? I believe that year of manufacturing would play a role while determining the life left in the tank
2. Based on the life left in the tank, I would request for final buy-out price based on depreciated fair market retail value of the equipment on a straight line basis in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
3. Per contract, there is no price mentioned to remove the old unit after its agreement period i.e. Sep 2022. Should the customer even pay any amount to get the equipment removed from the house? and how much? and who will determine the amount incl account closure?

Pl note: I've learned that there had been no service done in the hot water tank after it was installed in my house and the anode rod has not been replaced too.

I have been having hot water tank issue in the beginning of April 2022, as the hot water is contaminated due to the water tank being 10 years old without any maintenance service offered by the company Enpure. I have a new born baby that is allergic to the hot water when using the hot water from the tab for shower and he got red rash. However, we tried boiling cold water, its good. Apr 4th, we called Enpure asking them to send technician over to take a look. Apr 5th, technician named Mark, came and said there is no issue, the water is fine, he left Apr 6th, we called at noon to complain, call centre says that they can give us a replacement unit if problem persist, they say that technician will try to come the same day, but no show Apr 7th, we called at noon again to complain that we need a technician NOW, they hang up our call. We only got a call late evening saying that they can only come tomorrow. Apr 8th, technician Jason came, even he thinks that service was needed, so he shut down the water, and he took out a nasty component out of the hot water tank, the component is full of toxic build up of the color yellowish green, he said its poisonous and DO NOT touch it, then he carefully wrapped it and replaced the part with a new one. He said we can observe for a few days, can always give Enpure a call if there is still issues. Apr 11th, we called customer service and asked to speak to manager, John. We told him, "if you cannot fix the problem, just give us a replacement or disconnect the unit", in which it was denied, he said he can only do so if he can get confirmation from Jason that this unit needs to be replaced, or if we sign another 10 year contract, we can get a new unit. Apr 13th, he called us back saying that he spoke to Jason, and the unit shall not be replaced. Now we are stuck with a contaminated unit, still pays monthly rent, cannot replace unless we sign another 10 year contract, no more technician unless we pay service fee. They need to either FIX THIS NOW or DISCONNECT the faulty unit! NOW!

This company is dubious. I have rented a hot water tank from Enpure for over 10 years. Not once have they come to do maintenance. My tank has started leaking. I have decided to deal with a different company.

I have asked for my contract with them be terminated. They are asking for a cancellation fee plus pick up cost of the tank. I have asked a copy of my signed contract. They have not produced anything.

This company is not about service. It is about deceiving people. It deserves 0 stars and that is being generous.

Terrible client service that does nothing to help you. The contracts will lock you in for a long time with terrible, unexplained, fees to exit and make no sense when you are trying to work with them.

Should get 0 star. They never sent you any contract and kept increasing the service fee for the very old tank. Not worth the fee. Buy out fee is very high for the very old tank. Stay away from them pls

Please don't trust this company for any water heater rental or any other service, They are the worst i had service with in the GTA.

When I first bought my house the Enpure Home company misrepresented themselves and said they were from the official gas company for my house.
A hot water tank technician said he had to swap out my water heater tank and showed up unannounced soon after I moved into my new home. I found out soon after that these guys were not from the gas company, but now I was supposedly stuck in a 10 year contract with them since they had already swapped out my water tank for no apparent reason.

It has been almost 9 and a half years with them and now my water tank broke down. An Enpure Home repair man came and said that I needed to get a new hot water tank, but I'd have to sign another 10 year contract. I said I'd rather just not get another tank installed and close my contract a few months early, but he said I would have to pay out my contract which would be hundreds of dollars to essentially buy a broken tank and that would be pointless to do.
He also said he could install an old/used hot water tank, but he said it's not advised since those tanks can break again easily and cause more issues. I don't want a flooded basement so I said I'd rather just cancel my contract early and I would like to speak to a manager, but nobody seems to ever be available and my calls just go to voice mail and nobody bothers to call me back.

I'm stuck with no hot water now and I have two young kids with me with no resolution in sight.

Overall, very poor value for money. The technicians left a mess of water in my basement, and foam insulation across my floor after complaining that a regular service call was a waste of his time.

Edit: I just discovered that my installation was never up to code because they forgot to install a gas shut off. Great.

Hot water tank sprung a leak overnight and woke up with no hot water. Called twice and left two messages and no call back until I called again and got somebody. Got a technician out who shine a light and saw the water dripping out of the tank and said the tank has to be replaced. This is Friday morning. Said probably couldn’t be done till Monday… To which I replied that is unacceptable we have children and we need hot water. I then called Enpure and got somebody that would tell me that they didn’t have any installers and that I would have to most likely wait till Monday to which again I replied that is unacceptable and I asked when my contract was done. He said November… In my head I’m thinking jackpot I can get rid of this bogus company with the worst service ever… So then I inquired about actually getting a real company in to replace the hot water tank because they are brutal. He said that I would be charged the buy out I have a leaky water tank. I will make some calls in quiring other companies to see what they can do because this company is ridiculously bad
