Unbelievably poor customer service
When I called this company I very explicitly explained to the phone attendant that I had an electric furnace and was seeking a service technician who could repair the issues I was experiencing. I explained that the furnace was working and blowing fine, just blowing cold air. The technician showed up and immediately started selling me a new heat pump system. That was not what I asked for. After the poor sales job, I asked him to look at the furnace as requested. He literally tapped around the furnace, which seemed to kick on the coils magically, but explained that the coils would need replacing - no kidding. He advised that he would need to look into the parts, get back to me with the price and timeline, and schedule the replacement. Since the visit, there has not been any follow-up regarding the repair. After the technician left, I noticed that the thermostat was no longer working due to whatever the technician did. I called to report the issue and was rudely advised that another service call would need to happen to fix the issue. The thermostat was working just fine before the call. With I horrible taste in my mouth from my experience to date I expressed I did not want another service call under the circumstances. The company is now attempting to charge me for a service call that did nothing to repair the system as requested and also took down my thermostat as a result. Since their visit, the furnace has been repaired by a reputable company that sourced the parts and replaced them timely and cost- effectively.
The company is attempting to collect on an invoice I am refusing to pay based on principle, as they genuinely did nothing but try to sell me a new heat pump system and are now attempting to penalize me for not playing their game.
On the company's website and About page, they pride themselves on excellent customer service, which is not what I have received. They are threatening my credit, and a collections agency is harassing me now. I have expressed that out of good faith, I have refrained from sharing my experience, but now I have no other option but to hold my ground and share my experience.
Seems there business is selling and installing new systems only. I was very clear I wanted my existing system repaired.
