Backyard patio and steps, front steps

We needed to do small patio (180 sqft) in our backyard, small area under the shed (~6 sq ft), plant 6 cedar trees, lay sod (~12 sq ft) and two front entrance steps. I found Dynamic Landscaping on internet , approached them in May and was promised that job would be finished by end of June, in worst case scenario first week of July. Andrea required 30% deposit which unfortunately we have paid. By the end of July he still did not finish the job. In August we went outside of the country, which he knew from very beginning, so we did not want him to do anything that month. After we came back, they finally finished job at the end of September. After they left I had to repair front steps since they did very lousy job. I had to buy more pavers to put them under the shed to raise it up, because doors could not be opened (interfered with walkway and surrounding grass). I had to replant 6 trees because employees were rushing home and did not dig deep enough hole for them, just pushed soil around and after rain or watering, soil would run away, exposing roots. The only advantage of this company is that they have heavy duty machine to remove nicely top soil without disturbing soil under the patio. Other than that, in my opinion, they care about money, not so much about good job. I would say they cut corners where ever they can. Even patio stones in my opinion were partly leftovers from different job because of two different shades of colour (of course I cannot prove this). Shame on them. We would never ever hire them again.

Company Response

To all respect due to all the rain we couldn't excavate in June or July as everyone knows. We excavated and then Paul frieder was leaving country for I month and for us not to install anything til he's back I started another project and when Paul came back I still was on the big project. No contractor would just stop working and go to the old job when told not to til he's back and not fair to new client for me to just leave. After that in September we completely the job in a professional manner and he was happy and I apologized for delay thank you paul
