I got home last night and my roof was leaking
through the ceiling in the hallway. There was water everywhere. I called my insurance company and they said to call a restoration company asap. I called Canmir's emergency number and, luckily, their office is based in Richmond Hill and the Operations Manager, Shervin, and his crew were at my home in 15 minutes! Shervin assessed where the water was coming from with an infra red camera, released the bulk of the water by cutting out the part of the ceiling where it was trapped, sprayed a mold inhibitor, set up a large garbage container for the water to go into and then they set up dehumidifiers and an air movers to dry the area. Today they came back and removed the snow and ice dam on my roof so it wouldn't happen again when the temperature rose. The area is all dry! No more leaks!! Thanks, Canmir Restoration for the great job. So clean and efficient! I would highly recommend them! As for the cost, since it went through my insurance, I only had to pay my deductible of $500. I am not sure of the actual cost but if my insurance didn't cover it, I would have paid it anyway, no matter the cost.
