Solid Eavestrough

I contacted a number of companies for a quote to repair the downpipe at the back of my house that had been blown down in a recent windstorm.

Yaron was very quick to respond and was able to fit in the work to our timeframe, as we were concerned that that we might get some water damage if it rained again.

He called me at our arranged time to explain the condition of my old downpipe and I agreed that we should replace with new. He did a great job - even securing the new pipe to the fence so that it would be draining at least 10 feet from the house.

I am very pleased with the work that has been done and will definitely be recommending Yaron to anyone that asks.

Eaves and down spouts were decades old and needed replacing, I called Yaron for a quote, he called back same day and arranged a time for him to have a look, he arrived as promised and on time, explained what needed doing and how much it would cost, we agreed, Yaron promised it would be done within two weeks and the job would be completed in one day. Job was done within the two weeks, at the price agreed and done in one day. He even replaced a side of our neighbor's eaves which was looking the worse for wear. Would recommend Yaron, to anyone who asks. Solid, honest guy who does a great job.

My eavestroughs at the back of my house were overflowing when it rained, and no water was coming out of the downspout. I put in a request with Homestars. Yaron from Solid Eavestrough called me back the next day, and was available to fix the problem that same day. He gave me a two hour window of when he would arrive, then called me to ask if it was ok if he came a bit later (it was fine with me). He arrived at the newly scheduled time, explained the whole process to me, and completed the job with no undue mess! He even had a look at my front eavestroughs, which he told me did not need cleaning.

Our downspout had been blown off the house by the wind storm in May. Used HomeStars to find a repairer. Had corresponded with Yaron and when I called him for quote he was able to repair on the same day. The downspout is now very secure and was provided two year warranty. Yaron also noticed that our main floor eave were blocked and he cleared that without asking.

Yaron also was able to match the best quote I had received.

The last rainfall, I noticed water flowing out of the downspout, at the elbow/joint right below the roof.

Right over the phone he diagnosed the problem (correctly) as it was most likely a clogged downspout, and they were right.

When he disconnected the downspout at the elbow, there was all kinds of junk that blocked the flow of water. After clearing the block, reconnecting the downspout with extra screws, and testing it with a water hose to make sure the block was fully cleared, I asked what the price for gutter cleaning was (since he was there), and given the reasonable price, I opted to have that done as well.

I had an overflowing eavestrough and the water was piling up on the side of my house instead of funneling through the downspout, Yaron was very responsive, showed up at a convenient time for me after work and not only did he de-clog the eavestrough he replaced an old piece that was the root cause of the clogging, fastened it to the wall and now the water travels through perfectly. Friendly, fast and reasonable prices. Would not hesitate to call him again.

We had a 20+ year-old piece of eavestrough that kept leaking despite a couple of repairs over the years, so we made the decision to replace it. We called Solid on a Sunday morning and Yaron was there the same day to give us a quote. He agreed that the piece needed to be replaced, but also that the rest of the eavestrough and downspouts really needed to be replaced too. This wasn’t what we had planned at all, but by the time he had looked over the whole house and showed us all the problems, both functionally and aesthetically, we were convinced!! He also recommended installing gutter guards, which was an additional cost, but we decided it would be a cost saver in the long run.
Yaron was very friendly, patient and professional, explaining everything to us, and took as much time as we needed to feel comfortable with what he had planned. We even wanted two different colours of downspouts as two of them had to run along a fence and we wanted a colour that would blend in with the wood. He had already left by the time we realized we wanted that, but he was happy to come back later and let us choose from the different colours.
The work was completed a couple of days later. The two young men arrived on time and did a wonderful job, even patiently changing the colour of an elbow for us, after it had already been installed! They cleaned up completely and left our property neat and tidy.
The finished job looks wonderful, the front of the house looks so much ‘neater’ without all the random downspouts that we used to have! There was rain on the two days following the installation and we were very pleased to see no leaks!!

One of the downspout came off from the 100km/hhigh winds last Friday. Called a bunch of top rated companies off HomeStars over the weekend, assumed I might have a difficult time booking them since a there was a lot homes damaged and mine was a really small job. Was I right with my assumption some of these guys didn’t call me back, others took my Info and asked for my pics and didn’t call back, some of them quoted for me $600 just to hang my downspout back up and work will be done within two weeks of my call. Was about to go to Kijiji with the rip off prices these guys were quoting me and the no answers, but gave one last call to Solid Eavesthrough, went to voicemail. Got a call back within 10 minutes form Yaron at Solid Eavesthrough. Gave me a good quote way cheaper than the other guys, and said he can come on the same day to fix it. Yaron dropped by very friendly guy, didn’t feel rushed with him. I asked him if he doesn’t mind checking my roof for damages to shingles from the wind, he took half an hour to check this out of his time. And he noticed I had issues locking my fence door fixed the fence door and did the roof inspection for Free. And he finished installing the Downspout with new tighteners of his own. What an amazing service I wish all contractors was like this guy. Does a great job, takes his time to answers my questions and address any of my concern, and goes above and beyond of what he’s required to do.
