2 Years ago we had a water softener system installed in our daughters new home as a house warming gift. Tom from Purisoft in Barrie installed the unit. I purchased this water system when I lived in SouthEast Barrie. When I moved to Orillia, I had to purchase the same system again. Once you have had fresh clean and good-tasting water, you cannot go back to tap. This is money well-spent. I cook with this; I keep a water tank full in the fridge at all times.

Tom took over the UV and water system we inherited in the house we purchased and helped us understand the more complicated system we were on, as well as installing a reverse osmosis system for us about 8 years ago. He's extremely honest, punctual, doesn't oversell and has been an excellent resource for us. We continue to use him for all our replacement filters and UV lights, and wouldn't hesitate to use him to replace any other parts in our water system as needed. Highly recommend!

I did not receive any information on how the water softener would be installed as I assumed it would be installed by connecting to the house pipes for drainage as other companies have discussed. It is not satisfactory to allow it to drain in a sump pump which then causes soil erosion on the major walkway going to the backyard. Nor is it a good solution to have it in the floor drain as it comes out with a lot of force and it would most likely flood the basement area. It wouldve been proper to attach it to the house pipes so it drsins properly. Now I have to call a plumber and spend additional money to have it done properly.
