I have researched online for a good company to purchase a central AC unit for my home, since the one I had was 30+ years old. My furnace has been replaced around 5 years ago.
I am a busy person, so spending a lot of time on the phone simply doesn't work for me, so instead I email a lot. The way people do business these days has changed, online research and shopping takes priority over in-store or over-the-phone shopping, but not a lot of companies seem to realize this and adapt. Too bad for them, and good for Universal Air and Ian. Their professionalism and quick response won my trust instantly. Ian took his time and sent me comprehensive emails regarding what they can offer to address my needs, how various products are different, why one is better suited to my situation versus the others, etc. They didn't try to push anything on to me, unlike their competitors who said they cant install just the AC unit without the furnace, which is ridiculous since the furnace is less than 5 year old. Ian gave me the right customer service, the right price and the right turnaround time, so the deal was closed right away. Then Dave came over to inspect the premises, and explained to me what needs to be done, and when, so my time is not wasted unnecessarily. They installed my unit and also submitted all paperwork for the OPA Rebate on my behalf (my unit is Energy Star compliant, so it qualifies for a $250 rebate), so I just enjoy my new AC unit without having to worry about any paperwork. Bottom line, I would highly recommend Ian, Dave and the Universal Air crew to anyone who needs to hire a good, reliable and respectful company for their AC/furnace needs. Thank you guys!
