I had the pleasure of hiring Steve of Claydon Construction early May 2019.  The project consisted of removing and replacing all broken bricks of the porch area of my house.  Cut out and replace part of the porch's broken floor.  Install a drip edge underneath the concrete floor and install weeper spaces in the new bricks for ventilation. The job was explained to me and all questions were answered in a manner I understood what he was doing. Steve takes pride in his work and did an excellent, efficient and very neat job. I am extremely pleased how he was able to match
the house bricks and mortar  with the rest of the house bricks. Both Steve and his assistant,  Samantha were professional and polite throughout the project. All debris cleaned up and removed at the end of every day.  I am truly a happy and satisfied customer and wouldn't think twice of hiring Steve again. 
I would definitely recommend Steve/Clayton Construction to anyone that  needs work done.

I had to brick up a vent from a removed fireplace on the exterior of my house. Steve knew exactly what he was doing and skillfully sourced exactly the right matching bricks but also took bricks from the side of the house (where nobody looks) to ensure the very visible vent replacement area looked perfect (and it does). I also can't even tell where the bricks at the side of the house were replaced from (that's how good it looks).

So impressed I'll be checking with him first on any future projects if he's able to take them.

After being turned away by numerous contractors, I finally found one with some good HomeStars reviews that would take the job. One that would also charge appropriately and not up sell me on the needed repair. I had received other quotes from companies with good reviews but they seemed to really overcharge me and suggested a “fix” that would be way overboard. So I did hire Clayson and I’m happy that I hired this company. The repair(s) were done in a very time efficient manor; very easy and straight forward experience on the whole. I am satisfied with all of the repairs that were executed.

1- Fix above ground foundation issue 2- Minor repair on bricks around foundation repair 3- Properly fasten (3) window wells to wall & install landscaper’s material in well. Also putting in stones in the space.

As I said, I’m glad I hired this company. I’m also satisfied with the repairs & experience.

My large 3 flue chimney was in dire need of rebuilding.
Bricks were disintegrating and falling on the roof.
Steve and his crew did a fantastic reconstruction.
They were both efficient and personable.
All my questions (before, during and after job completion) were answered.

I contacted Steve because I was having problems with water leakage in the basement after storms and he suggested a re-build of part of the chimney, which had deteriorated due to water damage. He also waterproofed a section of my foundation at no extra charge. Before the time when he was scheduled to come my fence was damaged and when I told him about it he said he could do an estimate for that also and arranged to do the 2 jobs simultaneously. He explained the whole process to me for everything he was doing and always called me back and kept all appointments. His workers were very respectful and cleaned up the site every night. I would certainly recommend Clayson Construction to anyone requiring work done.

This company did our front pillars in our home. We have worked with many contractors for many renovations in the past but hands down Steve is the most pleasant and professional contractor we have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is always on time, honest, hardworking, and accommodated our requests and modifications with no problem. He is so knowledgeable about his trade and their workmanship is impeccable. We are so happy with the end result and have referred many people in our neighbourhood to him. I would recommend this company to anyone who is interested in doing stone or brick work or masonry in their homes.

Steve was referred to us by another contractor to repair our crumbling concrete porch and sinking interlock walkways. Steve and his assistant came over and did a fantastic job on both projects. He was on time and on budget. He was very easy to deal with and took time to explain things to us.

Steve's communication, pricing, and service was excellent. His team showed up on time, were very courteous, were quick workers and cleaned up impeccably after themselves once the job was done -- you wouldn't even know they'd been cutting bricks in the backyard. No dust left anywhere!

When removing old siding it was discovered that one wall had rotted out around a window and all beneath. We struggled to find someone who would come out in February and do the work in the a short time frame - until we found Clayson Construction.
They were responsive and reasonable in their quote - Steve was very helpful in offering suggestions on how best to deal with our unexpected issue.
Steve was flexible with scheduling around the other work underway and my work commitments.
Steve and his team showed up on time, were very professional and polite, and did the work quicker than I expected. Steve even helped me move a small shed with my kid's bikes i had forgotten would be in the way - more like a friend than contractor!
The final work was excellent - our wall is sound and dry now and Steve was honest with the final price of the repair. Even the siding company asked for Clayson's number!
