Ontario Duct Cleaning

With so many other air duct companies out there, save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere! If you want a mediocre company that doesnt care about its customers and your hard earned money and time, especially into todays economy, then this is the company for you.
After giving my email address to Kate first over the phone and then leaving it again on their voicemail to ensure they did not charge my credit card, but rather send me an invoice to get an e transfer, they still got it wrong. Instead of calling the phone number I gave them to find out why I hadnt responded to emails I never received, Vicky simply went ahead and charged my credit card before the thirty days had passed, in accordance to the agreement they established for their own company! This was all after the technician had to be called back the next morning because the furnace went off in the middle of the night. Disappointing as I had hoped and expected to leave a positive review after my initial conversation with them, but hopefully others can learn from my experience.

First off I just want to say that I never write reviews. I am only writing this review so that others will hopefully avoid the trouble that we went through. The technician who did the cleaning did not properly cover any of the vents in our home causing all of the dust from the 40 year old furnace to spew all over our brand new hardwood floors and carpet. He then tracked all of the dirt and dust from completely opening the vents all through our brand new carpet that had only been installed 24 hours earlier (despite there being a note on file to be careful of the new carpet). He also vacuumed all of the dust into our basement with no attempt to collect it. This caused our entire basement (including our washer and dryer) to have a 1/2 inch coat of dust all over and in it . We later came to find out that the tech was new and not following his training. In his defense he was very remorseful and apologetic. The same could not be said about the Company. When we discovered the problem we asked the tech to have his boss contact us. He spent approximately 1/2 hour on the phone with his boss outside. When he was off the phone he said his boss (Pat) would be calling me in 5 minutes and that he was just going to finish up. He went back downstairs to the basement for approximately another 1/2 hour. Still no call. We asked again for a call from Pat. He again called Pat and spend another 15-20 minutes on the phone and told us she would call us immediately. No call for another 1/2 hour. Then the tech began packing up his truck. I explained that I was not comfortable with him leaving until I had spoken with his boss/manager so that we could sort out how to fix the problem. He gave me Pat's number. I called Pat and she did not answer. I left a vm. I did not receive a call back. I called back in 10 minutes and this time got Pat. From there things got worse. Pat was unprofessional and accusatory. She demanded that someone come and "assess" the damage before they accepted any responsibility and accused me of making up the damage despite the fact that I sent photos and a detailed walk through video (that I am pretty sure she didn't look at). She told me that no one could come until Monday (it was Saturday morning). I explained to Pat that I was not comfortable with the damage remaining until Monday and that we were currently living off site 2 hours away while reno's were completed and that I would have to take time off work to come back Monday morning. Pat told me to just leave them a key and they could go through my house on their own. I told Pat I was not comfortable with that. Pat accused me of being dramatic and exaggerating and kept stating that I should not worry because they are a "very reputable company." Never once during our conversation did Pat apologize. I was forced to wait until Monday morning, wake up at 6am to get to the house for 8am where I would be met by Kate. Kate showed up Monday morning and was initially extremely apologetic. She made attempts to have a cleaning crew in that day. I thought things were finally going to be resolved. The cleaning crew that was sent was not great but did clean some of the damage. However, Kate agreed to pay for another clean by our cleaner. She also offered to have her foreman come and do a proper clean (as we are pretty sure the ducts were not properly cleaned). It felt as if maybe this was a comedy of errors and that Kate would fix it. I have now spent the last almost two month chasing Kate to have her come through on her promises. She is now not responding to emails or texts. The air quality in our home has become so poor we have had to spend money on an air purifier. The dust is still settling months later. We are constantly having to clean and re-clean our floors, carpet, and furniture. Not the new home we were hoping for. We have spent $100s out of pocket just to try and get our home back to what it was before this company came in. On top of that we don't even get the courtesy of a response. There are lots of companies out there. DO NOT HIRE THIS ONE.

Working with ODC was very easy and stress free. Kim was friendly and amazing with quickly responding to all communications including with our urgent need of their service. Mike the technician was accommodating and easy to work with. Explained and shared any findings along the way and was blown away at how well he cleaned our duct work. 5 Star from start to finish! We moved into our home three years ago and finally got around to getting the ducts cleaned. The tech who performed the work, Shahid, was very professional, diligent, and thorough. He explained the process before starting the work, and then methodically worked from top to bottom. He showed before and after pictures to confirm our ducts were due to be cleaned.
I didn't shop around -- I just wanted to deal with a reputable company; which is what I got with Ontario Duct Cleaning. I will use them again in the future.

Ontario Duct cleaning did an excellent job. Mike was very polite and took his time to do a proper job. I chose this company since they were listed on the NADCA website since I wanted my ducts cleaned by a certified professional. There was a noticeable difference in air flow from the vents and a reduction in dust after the cleaning. I’ll gladly use Ontario Duct Cleaning again in the future!

The technician arrived on time and did a thorough cleaning of the ducts in my home. I am happy with the service provided. They also were able to provide an appointment on short notice since another company cancelled.

Arrived on time and began work immediately, took approximately 2 hours. Thorough cleaning from top to bottom resulting in a pile of dust, debris, bites of wood and even an old paper coffee cup. Also, had the duct work disinfected with a natural spray with a mild lemon smell. Also had them clean the dryer vent. Amazing what came out of it as well. Highly recommend a thorough cleaning of ducts and dryer vent. Disinfecting is worth it for allergy suffers and if you haven't had your ducts cleaned in a long time. I plan on having them back in 5 years. A very worthwhile maintenance expenditure.

The experience was top notch right from the first phone call. Kim was lovely, and very helpful. Todd was extremely knowledgable and informative. I will absolutely be using them again for future needs, and will continue to recommend them to others.

Ontario duct cleaning was professional and quickly to reply to emails and calls. I was able to book an appointment within a few days on calling and the work was thorough. Definitely would recommend this company!

Ontario Duct Cleaning Toronto cleaned my 2nd storey dryer duct and provided excellent service. Chris and Paul were very good cleaning both the exterior clogged vent and vacuuming the internal dryer vent restoring my dryer to normal. I highly recommend these guys!
