650 for 30 minutes to snake a drain

Plumber charged 650 for under 30 min to snake a drain in a small condo. Refused to take credit card.
When we asked why it was so expensive he said the company made the prices not him. Company said the opposite when contacted that the plumbers they hire are independent and some take visa some don't same with price changes. They make more than a brain surgeon at this company. This is a whole weeks pay for us. Last time we had a drain snaked it was 150$

Burst pipe

A pipe burst behind dishwasher. Plumber responded quickly arrived that afternoon. Insisted he understood problem in spite of the added info I gave him. He banged the dishwasher about removing it to discovered my info was correct. The repair took all of five minutes but cost more than twice that of similar jobs we've had done. I respect what 15 years of experience as a plumber means but - respecting the information from someone who has 36 years of experience with an old home is also important. He advised us to use a fan to dry out the area before I reinstalled the dishwasher. A good call.

Fix clogged kitchen sink, replace drain

Don't hire these people. They do not guarantee their work. If you complain, they will gaslight you. I had an emergency clogged drain, early evening. Plumber was in and out in 45 minutes. Belligerent and didn't clean up afterward. A few weeks later, I noticed a leak where the work was done. Only after I threatened them with social media outing and lodging complaints with licencing bodies did they come back to fix the problem. Took almost two days of arguing and arm twisting. Unethical company. Make sure you keep a record of all your interactions with them.

Beware this company- plumber onndemand

They came to fix faucet and reconnect sink. After the tech finish found water leaking from the dishwasher beside the sink. The dish washer water in and out connected to the same spot where he did the work. But he refused to fix it. I mailed the company and called them. The lady over the phone gave irresponsible answer. I got some other plumber to fix my leakage. Never hire them.

Stay away

Tech said it would be a huge job that would cost 520 plus. This was not true, he was here about 15 min didn't change any parts or anything just removed hair from the drain. He still demanded we pay $580 did not put the drain plug back into the sink and refused to provide a receipt for our payment.

Very Bad Experience and Service

I had a terrible experience with this company. To their credit they sent a plumber to my rental property quickly but that is where the good service stops. The plumber who was sent did a terrible job and did not fix the issue. He also said I needed to have a extensive replacement job done. I put my tenants up in a hotel until my regular plumber came the next morning and fixed it for less and said all that most of what I had been told by Plumber on Demand had been wrong. When I tried to complain, I was told they only took emails and there was never any response. I wish I had read the real reviews - not the ones on their site.

DO NOT USE THEM, UNPROFESSIONAL and TAKE ADVANTANCE OF CLIENTS

This is a WOW company, dare to get reviews in this reputable website knowing they are conscious themselves and keep continuing doing unprofessional practices. To keep in mind:

- quotes are very unprofessional - invoices are poor presented ( see attachment)
- Overquote work, the big guy plumber tries to sell other services unnecessary which cause a lot of confusion and uncertainty to the client
- The trick is get you make a deposit, once you get cough is too late. Right after I realized I was going to make a big mistake , they won't give you any money back (Read amazon review for $5000 deposit). They always ask for 40% deposit and 60% at the end which is risky knowing the company's reputation.

Summary of story:
big damage on sewer main line after a decent renovation including flooring installation, I was in a time constraint situation to resolve this issue asap.

- they quoted and said I had to redo previous sewer line repair as it had cheap materials when indeed it was false, confronted and confirmed with several certified plumbers, that implied to dig and break the flooring as well.
- At that point I had made $5000 deposit and hence I decided to cancel the work order
- The owner said deposit was not refundable

You can see the invoice below, sad to know still there are contractors doing this to the clients.

$13,000.00

BEWARE - DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES

BEWARE - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I wish I had done more research prior to committing to their service call.
The cost for a simple, 30 minute job (reinstall a kitchen facet) was WAY OVER QUOTED. After receiving the quote onsite - which could not be provided over the phone (which should have been my red flag) I asked George the Plumber to leave my home and I told him I was disgusted that he would charge $375 for a 30 minute job.
I have to pay the $75 plus taxes to get him to leave my home.
I followed up with a Manger at Plumber on Demand, which the situation just got better, the Manager in her own exact words said to me "no one is holding your by your throat to use our services" she also had NO interest in finding a resolution. She continued to speak in a very unprofessional lingo. PLEASE BEWARE AND NEVER EVER support this business. They are taking FULL Advantage of consumers.

Reinstall a faucet

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
The cost for a simple, 30 minute job (reinstall a faucet for the outside using existing supply lines) was outrageous, the attitude of the worker was deplorable, and his workmanship was sloppy. All he had to do was connect to the existing supply line, and didn’t even have to drill a hole to the outside as I had already removed the old faucet. I had agreed to pay $75 for the service call which would be deputed from the cost if I had him do the work so if I didn’t have him do the job, I was out that money. I asked about warranty and he said it was guaranteed for 6 months, but I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for them to come back. I needed the job done so I paid the ridiculous price but I would never call them again. Beware!!

DO NOT USE THEM

On Canada Day, our tenant let us know that the water in the sink was not going down. We called Plumber on Demand, knowing we could have to pay some sort of premium given the holiday and emergency service. The plumber told us it would be significant work and gave us an estimate of $700. In a bind, and already knowing we had to pay the fee to get him there, we agreed. 12 minutes later, the job was done. All he did was snake the sink and tub. We paid $780. Completely gauging. We tried to speak with management about it, but they refused. Shows how much they care about their customers.
