Wouldn't hesitate to recommend! Got 3 quotes and Excel was the lowest. Alex was great through the estimate process, and answered all my questions. Colin and his crew were polite, did a great job and left the site spotless.

During 2017 my son Eric had his roof done in old Ottawa South. His concern was that the work area around the house was tight and the roof steep. He met with Alex who explained in detail the work procedure and materials to be used. Eric was impressed with the meeting and the way the Excel crew did the job. On completion they left the job site clean.

In 2018 I met with Alex to discuss the reroofing of my house. The scheduling of the work included the pre-delivery of material and trailer.
This allowed the crew to start work right away on the start day. The job was completed the next day . Removal of 2 layers of shingles produced double the debris but at the end of each day the job site was cleaned. The work ethics of the crew was evident throughout the 2 days.
The Excel employees that I dealt with were professional and competent in doing their jobs and I would recommend them at anytime.

In November 2017, after I had about five different companies providing estimates for replacing the old roof, I decided to go with Excel Building and Roofing and I do not regret. I had a great experience from the beginning to the end. Alex, with his professional advice helped me to select the right product. I decided to give Excel a call after seeing the signs advertising that houses throughout the neighbourhood had all had their roofs done by them. After receiving a number of quotes Excel was decided the most economical and professional option. Alex managed to walk me through the roofing process and help me decide on materials as well as design choices. I found him and his crew to be very friendly and causal while remaining polite and professional. I got a chance to be home for both days of work and they did their jobs very quickly despite the summer heat. They even found that one of the boards had started to rot and repaired it for no additional charge.

Alex came to my work with various samples of roof shingles & accessories, explaining in detail what needs to be done, quality standards & estimated completion time. His crew was punctual, kept the site tidy & completed the project the same day. With the first telephone call to Excel Building and Roofing, to the estimate provided by Alex, all the way to the finished roof, it was a pleasure dealing with everyone in this company. Alex was well prepared, explained GAF’s warranty and addressed, in detail, all our concerns. He kept us informed when the job had to be postponed for four weeks due to the extremely wet summer this year. When the crew arrived, they covered the entire area around the house as well as the deck with tarps, as well as the delicate vegetable garden next to the house. They were polite, fast and very professional. They also cleaned out all the eaves at the end.
The service was excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone in need of a new roof.
