Chris from Allen and Associates came out to give us an overview of a heritage home that we were looking to purchase. His report was detailed and issued about 24 hours from the time of the inspection. Not only was it a well written report and very informative, but the speed at which it was generated was helpful to our situation. Chris was easy to work with, knowledgeable and very methodical in his evaluation. My only reservation is that I wanted the inspection to include an abandoned well on the property but apparently their policy was to not review or comment on things that were not readily accessible (the well has a 2'x2' cement patio stone over it).

That is correct. We are unable to comment on underground or burried "decommissioned" features. To do so would require costly excivation and permission from the home owner. This is explicitly noted in our contract, and agreed upon prior to the inspection.
