Framing / Carpentry

I hired Leuri to frame my 2 story addition and install the required LVL beams. From start to finish Leuri was a true pro. He provided updates on a regular basis and when issues arose he always had a recommended approach or options to consider. On several occasions Leuri went above and beyond to ensure my addition was properly constructed and completed on time. He truly had my best interests in mind which I really appreciate. I was also impressed that many of the other trades (siding & roofer) were complimentary of Leuri's work. I highly recommend Rebuild the Planet and I am looking forward to getting Leuri back to frame my basement.

Can't wait to come back and see the completed addition. Excellent idea to add the two storey addition on the rear of your home. The new space compliments the existing structure perfectly. It was great and easy working with you on your project. Thanks so much.

Load bearing wall removal and front entrance rebuild.

First I have to apologize to Leuri and the guys at Rebuild the Planet, they have done two different jobs for me, one over two years ago and I have not written a review until now. The first job was to remove a load bearing wall separating my kitchen and living room. This entailed installing a huge LVL beam over 22' feet long in the ceiling and one over 11' long in the floor to support it without putting a post in the middle of the room in the basement. So not the simplest job. Also, it should be said that I do all of my own work other than structure, plumbing and electric and I am supper picky about who works on my house and HOW they do it. The team at Rebuild the Planet never batted and eye over any of my requests or questions and even surpassed my expectations with regards to quality and speed of work. Leuri is also excellent at giving design ideas and was super responsive to a couple of tiny issues that the inspector brought up and fixed them the same day. The second job they did for me was to tear down and rebuild an old extension on the front of my house that was never done properly the first time and was drafty and starting to rot. We redesigned it and Rebuild the Planet made it happen, we are super happy about how it turned out. I would recommend these guys to anyone looking for excellent workmanship at a fair price. Thanks guys.

No apology necessary Brian, we were glad to help. Thanks for letting us be a part of your project.
Your "Open Concept" design turned out amazing and the addition on the front entrance looks like it was meant to be there. Well done!

Removal of a bearing wall and installation of a steel beam.

We wanted to remove a bearing wall in the basement of our bungalow, but we could not decide which type and length of a beam should be installed. We were lucky to find Rebuild The Planet on Homestars. The reviews were great and we noticed that people said that Larry, the manager, gives very good advice. We contacted the company and started to plan the work. Our options were one 10ft LVL, one 10ftLVL and one 11ft LVL, or a steel beam of 19, 21 or 24 ft. The choice was dependent on cost, future layout and having a post in the middle of the basement or not. Larry presented us with all those options, told us about estimated price and benefits and drawbacks of each option. He visited us twice and we had quite a few conversations and e-mails. We decided to go with a24ft steel beam and no posts. Larry scheduled the works in a very short time. His crew was at the site on time, they all did perfect job. Larry helped us with advice and with inspections. In several days, our new beam was installed and the site was left clean. Larry and his team were very professional, the work was done to perfection and we really did not have to do anything except to schedule the inspections when Larry notified us that the work was complete.
I will recommend Rebuild The Planet to anyone who requires structural work.

Your Steel Beam install was one of the heaviest I'v installed to date. It was a logistical challenge to get it into the basement, but getting the job done for you was our priority. We are glad that you're satisfied with the results. Hope to see the final product soon.

Load Bearing Wall Removal

Needed 3 walls removed, one of which required an LVL beam, and needed a previously sunken floor to be levelled. Call a few contractors, but were too expensive and did not bother visiting. Leuri (Rebuild the Planet) had great reviews and actually visited my site. Was very easy to work with, very knowledgeable, and was easy to reach. His team managed to finish all work in just one day and within budget. Highly recommend Leuri for your structural project.

Removing 2 Load Bearing Walls and installing steel beams

I just want to thank Leuri for doing an amazing job, my wife and I are both extremely happy with the removal of the 2 load bearing walls. It was great to see a true professional who cares about what he does and it shows in the end product. I am not one to hire people to do things as I have been burned in the past, so I was a little skeptical hiring Rebuild the Planet, but I am so glad I did!!! Leuri completed the project within the time he said and without any hidden or extra fees at the end. They showed up on time, were courteous, very professional, and provided great suggestions for when I get to the finishing stage of our remodel. If I ever need assistance with future projects you will definitely be my go to for contractors, and I would have no hesitation recommending Rebuild the Planet to anyone for their future projects.

Installed new Floor in House

Had Leuri close off an 'open-to-above' area with the addition of a floor. We also had some bulkheads and a window seat installed for running HVAC runs to the new room. Leuri & his time were extremely quick with their work and did an outstanding job. Always arrived when promised and completed the work on time and per agreed price. It's hard to find reliable trades people these days but between Rebuild the Plant (structural), our HVAC, plumber, Hardwood Installers/Drywallers - Leuri was by far the best. Very happy with his service and would recommend him to anyone doing any type of structural or carpentry work.

Kitchen reno/framing

Leuri did an excellent job in assisting with the wall tear down and steel beam installation in our kitching dining area. Professional, courteous and always available to answer our questions. He also recommended a structural engineer that we hired to help with the drawings and permit submission. Overall, we were quite happy with the job Leuri and Rebuild the Planet did on this reno.
