Phoned Louis because of his Homestars rating. He showed up the next day as promised and walked us through the procedures he uses to get rid of our groundhog and/or skunks. He did the work and we asked him to check out our deck in the backyard. He told us that the latticework under the deck indicated that animals were nesting there. We discussed the situation and Louis recommended that we install some wire fencing behind the lattice and then replace the lattice to maintain the appearance of the deck. Apparently he scared away the racoons who had made a home under our deck. We were very happy with Louis and the work he did and would not hesitate to recommend him to family, friends and neighbours.

Everything as promised and extra work done on an area of the soffit that looked like it might become accessible to raccoons, at no additional cost. Friendly and professional, fair pricing. Would definitely call him again.

Checked attic, & the outside perimeters & the roof.
Installed one way door in the identified entry points. After a week, came back to close the entry points.
Work was very well done.

Mother and baby coon sitting on front step at dinner time, went under deck when I made noise. A1 was there the next morning, no coons to be found. Put in a deterrent and returned 2 days later so seam off deck. Great job and can tell A1 care about the animals and clients

I contacted A-1 Checkmate Wildlife Removal and Prevention for help with a family of raccoons that had invaded my attic and walls. Louis responded promptly to my call and soon arrived to assess the problem. He was very knowledgeable as he explained the work that needed to be done. His quote was reasonable and considerably lower than another company that I had contacted. He sealed off the animal entry ways and removed the baby raccoons in a very humane and professional way. This particular raccoon family was very persistent and when Louis needed to return to deal with them again, there was no extra charge for his additional work. I would highly recommend this company to any of my friends or colleagues who are experiencing wildlife problems.

Louis is a very nice person very friendly and is at your home or business to do the job and make sure it's done.Louis went out of his way to get a squirrel that was in between the walls. He even came late at night for me as I was so upset about this squirrel..he lives an hour and a half away from me but still came to help us God Bless him.We were able to go away on our already planned family weekend and we could trust him 100% with our combination lock to go into our home.I would highly recommend Louis as he's very friendly,gets right on the job to remove our squirrel humanely does his job 100% perfect and I felt so at piece in my home when the squirrel was set free out of my home.
