Paid Arabesque Refinishing/Emma Dadd to stain one dresser, repair existing stain on the front of another dresser, and re-do the stain on the top of a third one. Dresser one was not stained according to my specifications, the repair on the second dresser was not blended in seamlessly AND stain drips were left down the side that weren't there before. Arabesque totally forgot about the third dresser - I had to call and ask what was the status of pickup over 2 months later. At that point, I decided not to bother having the third one done. Very sad, because I'd used Arabesque in the past, and the work was okay. I do not recommend using Arabesque - better off doing the job yourself or hiring someone else.

For this client, I refinished 13 pieces, none of which I have ever received a complaint about. I was ready to deliver the piece she is speaking about, but she had left the country to see her husband, and was not returning for 3 weeks. I held on to this piece, at no charge to her. The piece of furniture being referred to was damaged after I stained it, by contractors, and the client tried to fix it herself. I did not charge her to repair this piece as she had been such a good client in the past. It is indeed unfortunate that this response was posted publicly, and never brought to my attention.
