I met with 4 different tree guys, including one that had done many jobs for family and such. In the end, we decided to go with Peter at Rooted. He had walked us through the entire job and knew exactly what he was going to do and how to do it safely within a quick time frame.
Unlike other arborists, Peter was honest and smart. That was impressive! They handled permits and everything.

I approached 6 of the largest arborists in Toronto for quite a complicated removal of a 100 year old oak tree in my back yard. 3 companies passed on the job because it was too complicated. 1 said they were interested but after 6 weeks of back and forth just stopped communicating. Rooted provided a detailed quote and removal plan within 24 hours. Peter was in constant contact as he managed the complicated logistics involved and coordinated with several stakeholders in the process. The level of professionalism from Rooted is the best I have ever experienced from any contractor I have worked with. This extended to after the job was done. WIth Rooted, you will receive great communication, a clear plan, excellent workmanship, a mountain of expertise with respect to urban forestry, and piece of mind. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I researched the matter of tree planting for protective screening to separate my property from the neighbor's, extensively, and found that Rooted Tree Services had a wealth of knowledge and experience in this area. They also have an incredible guide on the website that details what seems like 70+ trees and how to plant them. I highly recommend this company.

I do not write reviews but this company was impressive, so here it goes. It is difficult to get trades companies to call you back let alone come out to estimate in a reasonable amount of time. Imagine my surprise when Peter come out the same day to conduct an assessment. From that point on the job went as smoothly as the estimate.

As far as an unique experiences go this one was it for me. On the morning of the ice storm that the city experienced a number of years ago, I walked out of my house and my eyes nearly fell out of my head as I saw what had happening. There was a tree on top of my car. Wow. I called 10 tree companies in the city. A number of them never answered the phone and did not call me back. Some of them came out and provided me with a quote but were not sensitive to the need to resolve this issue ASAP. Rooted Tree services were by far the most accommodating. They explained to me that this was clearly an emergency in their eyes and they would get it sorted out right away. In additional to setting me at ease by scheduling me for the next day, when they showed up they had devised this elaborate plan that would minimize the damage to my car. Amazingly, the delivered on everything promised. They went above and beyond with their ingenuity. One of the crew later said that he enjoyed complicated jobs such as these because they reminded him of the complicated lego schemes he used to rig up.

I have used Rooted Tree Services twice and both times, they were incredibly quick to arrive and complete the job and when they were finished, there was virtually no sign of them ever being there. Except for the trees being gone, of course.
