We recently purchased a house that had original hardwood floors which we were really excited about, minus the colour and state of them. The previous owners had allowed the topcoat to be worn away so there was raw wood in a few spots, primarily the dining room under where the dining table was placed, which is shown in the after picture. Additionally, the floors were an orange/yellow colour that needed some modernizing.

When we approached Ky, the owner of Bull Tough Flooring, and showed him a picture of what we'd like our floors to look like (a picture from one of the other reviews), he had no doubts that he could provide us with our dream floors. I was apprehensive at first but Ky delivered! He fixed all the holes, gaps between boards, other minor issues, and made our floors look brand new. I was so amazed with the job he did I was speechless!

Ky and his team at Bull Tough Flooring are exceptional. Right from the early stages of the project, I knew this was a company I wanted to work with. Ky came out to our condo himself to take measurements, confirm pricing and determine the final stain colour. He sanded a portion of the floor and laid 4 stains of our choosing. We selected one that he then used to stain a larger section of floor. We confirmed that as our choice, and Kai agreed to start work in three weeks. During those three weeks, I became uncertain that we selected the right colour. The week before the work began, we contacted Ky and disclosed my indecision. Ky took this in stride, and the day his team arrived to start work, he carried in 24 different stain samples that he had made on wood that he had purchased for our stairs. From these samples we selected our top 4. He then sanded a large portion of the floor and stained 4 large sections with the stains that we selected, so that we could be comfortable with the final selection. What fantastic service! On his personal time, he applied 24 stains to our stair treads which he then had to sand down to prepare them for the final colour that was selected. He did all of this at no extra charge and with the utmost care and concern for the outcome of our renovation. Ky was very understanding and wanted me to be certain that I had chosen a stain that I would be happy with for many years.

Ky is the owner of the company and was hands on at site working side by side with his team. I really appreciated this personal attention. While they were working, they took the initiative to carry heavy items out to the garage for us. In fact, whenever Ky saw us doing something that he could help with, he stepped in to help – even picked up a paint brush and helped me paint a portion of the stair railing! The house was cleaned and left in pristine condition every day. In addition, Ky worked with us on pricing and was very respectful of our budget. Even after we settled the final price, Ky offered to remove a transition strip and feather the new flooring into the old at no additional cost. The finished floor looks fantastic! I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending Ky and his team at Bull Tough Flooring.

Ky did an absolute wonderful job refinishing our floors. We had Brazilian cherry hardwood floors that we felt were ageing the aesthetic of our home. Ky and his team were knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. At the end of the day, they cleaned up any mess they made and kept their work space tidy. They worked super hard to finish our floors in a timely manner. Ky even came himself on the weekend to finish up the work. The end result was so beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Bull Tough did an amazing job refinishing the hardwood floors in the house we just bought. They look better than I could have ever imagined. So easy to communicate with and they went above and beyond to get the job done on time.

Ky was great to work with. I contacted him after researching on Google when I was debating between refinishing vs installing new flooring. He assured me that my hardwood floor was in good condition and could be refinished and took the time to explain as he is very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend working with the Bull Tough Flooring team. The owner Kayum was very knowledgeable about the type of floor we had and provided great recommendations for what we could.. The stain that he suggested for our maple floor was FANTASTIC! Not only did Bull Tough Flooring provide the best price (almost $1000 cheaper than some other quotes), but they were able to do all the work in one day versus the three that other hardwood re-finishers all quoted (and high quality work at that). I had got quotes from about 5 other flooring experts and none of them answered as many questions or gave me as much service offerings as Bull Tough. All of the large gashes, gaps and wear from our original 90s floor are gone!

We moved into an older home that had been partially renovated. We wanted to extend the hardwood into the remaining rooms on the main floor. This required matching the hardwood and stain. We got 4 different quotes. Bull Tough Flooring had competitive pricing, and was by far the most knowledgeable. The service was great before, during, and after. Employees were friendly, courteous, and keep things clean. Ky even took care of finding a company to do the demo and prep work for us as we were out of town.
