When we opened our doors in 1989, Founder and Master Plumber, Jeff Wright set out with the goal of helping homeowners in the greater Toronto area with their residential plumbing needs. Providing value for the customer with a respectful, professional, and quality service approach has always been his top priority from the start.

Several years after we started The Great Plumbing Co., industry was booming in the GTA and we saw an even greater need outside the residential plumbing space. Thus, we shifted our attention to provide general contracting for local business owners. Fast forward to 1999 when we took the opportunity to become involved with the city’s development, providing CCTV inspection and cleaning of large diameter sewers.

While we gained valuable experience from working in the commercial and industrial space, today we are happy to be back to our roots focused on helping homeowners with their residential plumbing needs. Excellent customer service

Purchased new fridge, we needed someone to unhook our old water line from the old fridge and come to attach the new one. We received customer service that was above and beyond the norm. Jeff worked hard to help us make sure the fridge was working and ready for use, staying well past the time allocated for our job. Thank you!

Booking was a straightforward online booking system. I got a text message for the confirmation of the appointment and before Jeff came. Jeff confirmed the problem immediately (cartridge) and quote from an electronic catalog. He started right away and the problem was solved perfectly. He even fixed my dripping water main shutoff valve in 2 seconds and for free.

Shower faucets replacement and garburator

We called The Great Plumbing Co. to check on a few items in our house before turning it over to renters. Jeff couldn't have been more helpful - he gave great advice regarding our garburator (we replaced), and helped make sure that 2 of the showers in the house had updated and functional taps/faucets. We are thrilled we found him and will definitely call him if anything needs attention from now on. Highly recommend.

Defiant Water Filter Subdued!

The water filter on my custom system needs regular filter change but with other things happening, it was way overdue and so retaliated by refusing to open. It is in an awkward space and not well supported, attached to a delicately balanced solar assist system, but Jeff figured out how to get it open without creating other problems. Made good suggestions about future care too. Yes, a Great Plumbing Co!

Exceptional Service

Jeff has come out to my home for two separate jobs. One was something that he tackled with great facility and speed. The second was a much larger job, which ended up being the city's responsibility. Dealing with the city was challenging and frustrating, but Jeff supported me throughout. He always followed up answering any questions I had, at the cost of his time and energy.
Without Jeff's knowledge and kindness, I would have been lost.
That Jeff knows plumbing, is understood, but he also knows how this city operates, what the by-laws are and how to deal with Toronto Water.
I am grateful for all of Jeff's support, and I will gladly hire his services again, when I need them.
You should too.

Bathtub faucet repair

I am extremely impressed with the quality, work, professionalism, and efficiency of the Great Plumbing Co. We were able to get someone come out for service the same day within a just a few hours.
We were so lucky to have an experienced, dedicated and well rounded worker Jeff to to fix our loose leaky bathroom faucet. He was extremely polite, professional, and thorough in explaining in great detail everything needed to be done and the approximate cost before proceeding. He even offered free advice and other suggestions for improvements in our bathroom overall.
We immediately felt that we were in good hands and would not be taken advantage of.
I would highly recommend this GREAT Plumbing Co. and especially the great Jeff. We will definitely be using
their services in the future as needed. Excellent overall service from start to finish.

quick and thorough

Jeff was quick to respond. He explained problem and different options of how it could be fixed clearly after investigating the situation thoroughly. He didn't do that thing that drives me nuts where the first 10 minutes are spent trashing who ever worked on / installed the appliance last. Good work. Nice, friendly guy as well. Recommend.
