Empire Deck & Interlock

Empire Deck and Interlock did an amazing job installing a patio and retainining wall for me. Their crew was extremely curteous and efficient and did an excellent job and great clean up!

I contacted Empire to fix my sunken interlock causing parging cracks and to stop foundation damage. The consultant was great to work with and same was the guys that came to do the work. I am happy with the overall work and their professionalism. The end result is very good and happy. I am giving them 4 stars and not 5 due to 1 thing:

1) I wanted extra work done which was agreed to however it was later changed. Please note empire team explained why they had to back up, its just for me that should have been done at the beginning

Hired Empire to install new pavers on my driveway as the existing pavers were oldish and did not match the colour scheme of the house. The job involved removing the old pavers, the black back-up strip regrading and cleaning the base to accommodate the new pavers which are roughly 2 thicker than the old pavers. In addition, the asphalt pavement had to be cut about 1.5 to make room for the new pavers which are wider. Very pleased with the work and the outcome. The project manager, John, met me for a site review to go over the work required. A few days after, the crew started the work and completed it on schedule. The crew was respectful and professional dealing with my questions and concerns.
After the crew had finished the project and left the work site, I noticed a few gaps lacking polymeric sand between the pavers . I notified John who promptly called me and the next day, a crew member came by to lay additional sand and left a full bag for future use. Bottom line, a positive experience dealing with John and Empire.

I am extremely happy with the work that I got from Empire - my backyard looks amazing. The crew was great.

The Empire team, Jaret, John and Randy were delightful to work with. The project was well executed and the finished project amazing. The team were also very respectful of the neighbors as the properties are close together with little parking access. I would definitely recommend this company, and utilize them again in the future. Empire Deck + Interlock completed an interlock and riverstone backyard, a riverstone side yard with stepping stones and an interlock front patio with driveway extension in the front.

Jared provided estimations for a few options that were on the table and made changes as requested. John, the project manager, assessed the site and we discussed a few questions that I had. The site walkthrough was efficient and didnt feel rushed at all. I had a list of questions and by the end of the walkthrough all of them were answered before they were even asked. Randy worked on the excavation and provided a suggestion on the interlock that I liked and went with. Danny and the interlock crew (Hunter and Darren) closed out the project and made the design come to life. Danny asked about pattern choices for the interlock and I really like the final look of everything. They provided nice recommendations, explained anything I had questions about.

There were a few small things in the final walkthrough to go over, which were addressed the next day. Overall, it was a great experience and Im happy with the work.

We found our experience with Empire Deck and Interlock to be amazing! The guys that dealt with our project was Danny, Hunter and Darren. Very Professional and kind. Our project manager John was very professional and prompt with getting back to us about any inquiries. If I ever needed another project done, I would 100% be using empire and have already been recommending them to everyone I know. We are incredibly pleased with the results of what we envisioned for our backyard and driveway.

I wanted to change a cedar deck to composite. Jared went the extra mile to ensure my current framing structure was sufficient to do so. Once I hired Empire, Andrew was assigned as the project manager and he made sure to answer all of my questions ahead of the job being started. The installation crew (Jake & Elly) were punctual, courteous, hard-working and worked with my project manager to ensure I was happy at each stage of construction. The professionalism and great quality of work are the reasons I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Empire Deck + Interlock to others.

Empire Deck and Interlock were excellent from beginning to end. Each and every representative from Empire was courteous, pleasant and hard working. First was Jared who estimated the job and sent the quote. He made revisions as we requested them and kept us informed every step of the way. Then John, the manager showed up to assess the interlock patio and walkway area we wanted. We had looked through their portfolio and had a picture of something we liked. We were able to brain storm with John to come up with a design we were happy with. He understood what we wanted and made it happen. Next was Randy to do the demolition. Super nice guy and so hard working. He left the area cleaned and prepped for the next crew. Danny showed up and I cannot believe this guys work ethic. He wanted to make sure he completed the patio and walkway as we envisioned it. He went beyond what we asked for and made the design even better than we could have hoped for. His crew of Darren, Hunter and Bo were all so nice and their attention to detail made the job turn out so great. You can see and feel the quality in their workmanship. We were so thrilled when they completed this stage. Then finally Jake showed up for the final stage, installing the railings on our new stairs. He also was very nice and personable and completed the job in a timely manner. Every aspect and detail in this project was completed to our liking and we highly recommend Empire Deck and Interlock.
