Turning Leaf

I was looking at bigger name companies to do the work on my trees and happened on the reviews of Turning Leaf. I thought I would give a small business a chance. I contacted them through the website and Blaine called back the same day. He came out and diagnosed the black knot in my Mayday tree, gave me a quote to prune it out and shape the tree. I also needed him to remove a dead spruce tree in the back yard located in a very confined space. He arrived when he said he would, did the work quickly and efficiently. They meticulously cleaned up any mess and, as I had decided to keep the firewood from the spruce, they even stacked the wood and replaced the bird feeder to a location near to where it was. No bumps or dents in the fence or siding of the shed that were adjacent to the tree. Invoice was exactly as quoted with no rude surprises. I would definitely use Turning Leaf again and recommend them to my friends. Keep up the good work.

I had some trees on my property that both had some dead branches and were getting a little overgrown. Due to the competitive price I contracted Turning Leaf to do the pruning work.

Not only were they quick and professional, in that afterwards I hardly noticed they had been there, but they also sculpted the trees in a way I couldn't believe was possible.

I couldn't be happier. The trees look great! I would not hesitate to use them again. Highly recommended.

I was referred to Turning Leaf by another company that was too busy to take on the work. Blaine was by far the most reasonable cost, plus I was reassured by his trustworthy personality. The job he did was better than I had anticipated. I am overall quite pleased and will look no further the next time I need a tree pruned. At the time that I hired him, he was a one man operation.

We've had the pleasure of using Blaine's services for regular tree maintenance as well as for emergency situations for the past 3 or more years. He's extremely knowledgable and pleasantly answers any and all questions I through at him. Blaine is honest, has fair prices and does an impeccable job. We have trees that are 30+ years old and he's honest about when to prune and how much to prune. We had an emergency situation with the September snow fall and instead of cutting the entire tree down, he recommended we prune it to make it safe, clean up broken branches and give the tree a chance to live. We're glad we listened to him because it looks pretty good now and has a good chance of surviving. Blaine's been punctual, tidy, does the job in a timeliness fashion and always follows up. He's also very courteous, we have a baby and gives me a heads up of when he's coming and asks if it will disturb us. We've recommended Blaine's services to our neighbours and friends because he's honest, does a great job, has fair prices and has excellent customer service.

After the snow storms in Calgary, we had several trees that were damaged. We found it very difficult to find a proper tree service to handle the damage right after the storms. Turning Leaf was asked to quote on cleaning up the last of the damage and to prune back the 5 trees in our backyard. They came in at a great price, and followed up within days by delivering exactly what they had agreed to. Reasonable, quick, efficient and tidy just about sums it up for us in describing Turning Leaf.

After noticing one of our aspen trees had fallen over and was leaning quite heavily against our fence we became quite concerned as it was very windy and the tree became quite unstable, Blaine thankfully came at short notice and dealt with our tree he was so helpful, professional and we were very happy with the job that he did.

We had several large branches that were broken and hanging down dangerously after the September snowstorm. Turning Leaf gave me a reasonable estimate then came and quickly did the work. The job was well done, the garden was left clean and tidy, small branches were chipped and removed and larger branches were left cut to length, as requested.

When a tall, old, Poplar tree was damaged in the last summer snow storm and I couldn't get anybody to remove ASAP the dangerous leaning tree, this company was the only that understood the tree risk of falling over using the photos (same photos sent to 8 others). They managed to place this job at front of the line, and came to remove the tree safely, cut the stem into pieces, placed them on my property. Took the branches to the mulch machine and finally cleaned the mess on my property and on the street. All done VERY professionally and safely, couldn't be happier with my choice.
For next spring there'll be some other work to do on another big pine tree that's sick with bugs. No doubt whatsoever to whom I'll call back. Excellent job Blaine & company!.

Turning Leaf did a fantastic job of removing my poplar tree. They are very professional and did exactly what was required in the time frame indicated. I have already recommended them to some of my friends.
