North Shield Windows And Doors

VERY poor customer service and door quality. multiple unanswered emails and even more unreturned calls. Patios doors freeze up almost all the way around the frame, and bows the frame as the track freezes from the condensation. Man doors seem to twist with high outdoor temps, as far as 6mm outside of the jamb. The gap gets better with cooler temps. Top corner above the handle on both my outside doors. Same 2 corners also freeze up in the winter. Been trying to resolve this for over 5 months, they said the new construction of the patio door from the manufacturer that was done 3 years ago, causes the freezing after a month of saying its my 36% humidity. They will not replace unless the manufacturer makes the change from steel back to fiberglass reinforcement's. The man doors, both of them on opposing walls, They said my house shifted and provided no proof or explanation, just walked up and said that was what happened. Windows so far are fine, but please steer clear of the doors. Same complaints as mine on the BBB site as well.

Extremely happy with the install done by North Shield. The doors feel solid and well made. They took the care to find trim work that matches our existing trim inside even given the limit supplies as a result of COVID. What we were responsible for (painting of trim) was clearly spelled out. Alex took the time to go over our options and made recommendations and followed up even after the install. They communicated when the install would happen and kept us abreast. We went with the triple glazing with built in blinds in the rear doors and sound from the trains behind the house have definitely decreased. We would definitely recommend North Shield from sales through installation.

They removed and replaced my basement windows thirteen years ago. Products and service just as excellent now as it was then! Alex is a very cordial and attentive sales representative and showed up the day of the installation to ensure everything was to specification.

the workers came on time, they were friendly and got the job done. I love my new windows. I got exactly what I wanted! tilt and turn windows for the bedrooms, an awning for the kitchen and a beautiful 10 foot window for my front. I will definitely be choosing north shield again for my basement replacements.
